I didn't read all that, skipped it, But I have seen a few others say the same thing. But the only person able to confirm this would be Shea he is on his 22nd DET working toward the 23. So I guess when he get the 23rd done he could go check and confirm it, if he has 23 DET then it is indeed 1 for 1.

In my case my sphairai will be 42str 47 vit 31det and 44 of other stats since I've only put 15 infusion in det so far. Its no guess either. That's a fact!

The best way to look at this is.... why would the Novus secondary stats = more than High Allagan.... Look at the High Allagan Kite Shield, PAR 13, DET 6.... If the stats on the Novus are 1 to 1 then you would be able to get PAR 13 and DET 9... I am pretty sure they wouldn't give you more secondary stats on a Novus than you would get on the High Allagan. You could also look at High Allagan Spear CRIT 32 and DET 32, it would make no sense for the Novus to have CRIT 44 and DET 31. You could make the argument that High Allagan weapons have more damage and main stats to make up for it... but following all previous weapon progression it doesn't make sense for a Novus to have better secondary stats when compared to a High Allagan

Again, all is speculation, but I tend to lean on the side that if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is.

Hmm, that is interesting. I was going by Shea's posts and prior to 5th meld he wasn't as detailed. You do have 1 piety melded already, so I am wondering if the success rate isn't calculated by materia but by tier. So when people get onto their second stats rather than starting with 100% they start on like 60%. That would change things a lot as you would be wanting to apply the most expensive materials first


If anyone is going to post their meld success rates, can they state the total melds as well as the progress of the current stat?

Your spreadsheet says 100% success rate for the first three melds of Det on Thyrus.
I can confirm that (at least for me) the success rate droped to 94% just after the first meld.
So it seems to be random...

I think my 2nd infusion succes rate was the same as you.
Was more like 100, 94, 88, 80, 70. (not sure about the 3rd one)

The Det cap on Thyrus and Stardust rod is both 31, so requiring the same amount of each tier of materia so you would think it would have the same rates. Unless for tier 1, instead of 100-100-94-80-70-60-50 it is 100-94-88-80-60-50, which would make sense of the data. Anyone else melding Det first? (Thanks above poster. Will update spreadsheet for Det)

The much lower rates compared to melding Acc/Crit etc is interesting. Cause Det melds seem to start to decrease after the 1st and 2nd, whereas Crit doesn't decrease until the 7th. Even taking into account the change in amounts (11 vs 7/8) it much steeper

just to make sure, you are taking det all the way to 31, right?
