Novus weapon upgrade system findings

Since I didn't see this covered in this thread, for materia infusion purposes the Omnilex (And presumably the Thyrus) count as already having 9 grade 1 materia infused in the scroll. So you infuse 2 grade 1 heaven's eye materia before it moves to needing grade 2, but you do need 11 grade 2, 11 grade 3 and 11 grade 4 materia to complete capping out the stat.

While interesting, I'm confused as to why anyone would want to add accuracy over the other stats onto Omnilex and Thyrus.
Personally I'm currently going for max tier 3 materia det/pie/spell speed for my Thyrus.

Juz a curious idea,

Since we have a Novus weapon to customize secondary stats,
Will We have a Relic Armor system for use to customize secondary stats,

So we can hv a full Relic character. ...lol

So I finally got my animus and took a few more days to get another 1500 myth for the ink. After reading the quest text it sounds like I now will have to buy another ink for every 5 materia melded to make a new scroll. Is this right? Since the op was never fully updated it doesnt say. Thats another 7000 myth just for ink. Tell me its not so.

The ink are just for buying the scroll, once you have it, you wont need anymore ink for this weapon

Personally I'm currently going for max tier 3 materia det/pie/spell speed for my Thyrus.

It's partly a utility choice, partly just a reality of the content we're doing choice. As Scholar I spend roughly three quarters of any fight in the second coil adding DPS, and I actually run at the accuracy cap for that reason using lava toad legs and crafted healer gloves with capped accuracy; even knowing that three of my damage spells are guaranteed to hit it's still worth it as a DPS upgrade, since my heals are powerful enough and my mp pool extensive enough that I don't need the other stats. At that point I choose to optimize for damage instead, and it also has some added utility during the Melusine encounter, since I can with 100% reliability use miasma to root the Renauds in place, without the worry a summoner kiter has that they have to get enough distance to safely cast miasma, or the worry a bard kiter has where shadowbind will clear the heavy effect from the Renaud.

I'd agree it's a much weaker choice for a WHM. There's some minor value in making fluid aura a reliable interrupt, but with a typical group setup your WHM is likely to be the one that spends the most time healing.

I will also naturally get plenty of weapons with full healing stats on them just by clearing content in the game anyway, the same can not be said for healer weapons with accuracy on them.

Kinda disappointed with the glow on the Novus not much different from Animus. Oh well still looks awesome.
