This is one of their abilities - Also one of the iconic abilities of Chemist/Alchemist (depending on game), this is what I meant by they would have to go against the FF staple since Mix (as far as I know) has always utilized combinations of consumable items to create something new, not simply just tossing potions at the enemy for an attack So it could easily work, but it wouldn't be in the style we've come to know.

CHM would have an infinite supply of any items they needed and it wouldn't take any inventory space. They'd just conjure them out of thin air.

Sadly, Yoshi has said he will NOT release any class that has a reliance on any kind of consumables, and Chemist falls into that category so it can't be introduced without heavily changing the FF staple..

For that matter, does BRD use a harp? They're not adverse to making big changes where appropriate.

I would lean more towards another DPS or an actual "true" support Class. But also.. Get rid of the Ninja-Tank idea.. x_x If you are refering to NIN in FFXI, then no.. NIN was never meant to be a tank, when it was released. That is what the players made out of it.

Very good point on the arrows. If you want to get technical on the harp though the relic is in the shape of a harp, strings and all when it's on a char's back.

Used to in 1.23, if you want to be technical.

Yeah actually, players use one for the songs, the Relic is a Harp and the Moogle BRD uses a harp. That once again shows that if it did come into existence, it wouldn't be like how it always been, as I said. BRD normally was never a consumable based job, Chemist/Alchemist was though.

The dilemma can easily be resolved by having a story that explains why it is possible in the first place.

Ex
A.) There's too many veils of potions that are being piled up and they can't be easily disposed. To dispose of the "waste", since they are reaching their expiration date, the guild has created a magical pouch has been created so you can go toss those concoctions at your friends or enemies.
B.) You can do instant mixtures but their effects are temporary making it a viable battle class but not a long term 'seller" like the DoH.

Though wanting to find a solution is not this communities forte. So don't mind my interruption.
