    UltimatePay handles stuff like Ultimate Game Cards, so going to them is probably the way to get your refund or whatever. Have you tried submitting a support ticket to Square Enix through the support site?

    I've called them twice today and apparently refunds for any reason are against tos... I'll call ultimate pay if I can get the kids to sleep since the little one is sick and we're home today again.

    Chargeback never leads to a permaban. Your account gets frozen until you pay the outstanding balance in full and have a new subscription.

    I'm sorry that this has happened to you OP! I don't understand why SE wouldn't tell you to just change your credit card on the MogStation. Because of the Target thing I got sent a new card as well and noticed that one day I couldn't log into FFXIV. So I just logged on to the Mogstation, changed my credit card and all was well. :/

    That's the thing I tried to change my CC but it didn't let me. It gave an error, I called, they said they couldn't give me details about the error, to use crysta and I guess I've discussed the rest enough. I'm very sad as I just beat T5 and was about to start on second coil with my new FC. Still I don't think the responsibility should fall on me, so I am taking my stand and not doing their dance. Sad nonetheless so see Miss Tooka go .

    Or you could just handle the problem and continue playing, assuming you were having fun, instead of doing what you're very clearly trying to do right now.

    Yeah, I know it sounds whiny in a way and I almost want to do what they want but it seems a matter of principle now. I'm not at fault, why should I jump through so many hoops just to pay them? If I could do it online or through phone I'd even be happy to pay a fine but their system just seems archaic, inefficient and places the blame and responsibility on me when I'm not at fault .

    It's because most companies take chargebacks VERY seriously. I'm not saying you did it, but they're always initiated by the customer. Most companies refuse to do business with someone who does a chargeback in the first place.
