Me and a friend moved to tonberry from cactuar...as we wanted to play on a server that was a little more active at the time of day/night we played, we also wanted that nostalgic feeling when we used to play with jp players in FFXI...toneberry fit our needs, the jp players we have played with have all been very nice and great, overall we love the server as it has a great community.Migrate to Tonberry. I was from Masamune. First thing I did when migrated to Tonberry, open the Party Finder, and there's ENGLISH words! omfgwow! Another fact is, the JP use {Can you speak Japanese?} instead of JP ONRY. (There are still JP only PFs).
Funny thing was, my coil team all agreed to migrate Tonberry because we can't find 2 replacement for our team since most the english player in masamune already have a static. However, when we were in Tonberry, we recruited 2 japanese into our static lol. (they join us during the first day, endure the full 90 mins wipe with us in T6. 2nd day we PF again, the same 2 joined! we were surprised since we did wipe the full run the day before. Well, we won it on that day, and they join our static.
And on the topic of not being able to afford the transfer fee...all i can advice is save those pennies till you can, either you can wait to be happy playing on the server your on...if it will ever change that is, OR take the chance and transfer to a different server where you might enjoy the community and players and overall have a better experience.
Yes, because being responsible means we don't have a job or live off mommy and daddy. Personally, I've worked and lived on my own since I was 16 years old, I budget my rent, bills, food, and entertainment costs monthly, I can afford this game just fine, and even have money set aside for whenever an expansion comes out, if there's a CE version of it. I could spend 18 dollars to do something like a server transfer, or, I could go to the movies, or out to dinner with friends. It's not about not having money, it's about spending in the best way, I don't know you, so I won't make assumptions about your livelihoods, I suggest you try and do the same for others.
lol... mommy & daddy... lucky for u who still has them around.![]()
On Balmung, there is not much of an issue here with that kind of issues, however, there is a sense of bad attitudes in PFs regardless of language barriers Probably because I am on a NA data center. My FC has German, French and Chinese players whom play without much issue as they can speak and understand English.
I think we should be glad that there is an option for server transfers. I was on Rabanastre in 1.0 where I was force to merged with two other servers, eventually becoming...I guess Masamune. I left and made a new character.
I do not feel it is right that transfers were highly requested, then when it is finally implemented; there are complaints that the pricing is too high for some.
I think the pricing is more than fair, and I agree, I've never ran into this issue on Balmung either, my only qualm is the notion that just cuz someone doesn't want to throw down the money, that they're some jobless loser that lives off their parents, that's allOn Balmung, there is not much of an issue here with that kind of issues, however, there is a sense of bad attitudes in PFs regardless of language barriers Probably because I am on a NA data center. From my PoV, i dont have problem with 'JP only' PF as my first win T6-T8 with JP PUG..
EN players who lack of knowledge about the content & dont want to use google translate for communication purpose often ruined the JP PF for those who put comment 'ready to clear it', that's what made some of EN players leave bad impression for them.
If people dont know anything about the fight, study the JP strat first or their video on youtube (there's a lot) and the most important thing is join their practice party..at least you know what to do. I had a friend who well-skilled for this game but he refused to join practice and enter any JP PF without any knowledge from said content...in the end he kept getting kicked in just few rounds. He always asked us what to do once inside the party and doing the content, that was hilarious. Hows most the JP well mannered to each other but EN attitude force them to put 'JP only'.
I don't say all EN are bad-mannered players but some of us. Even thought GoogleTranslate often make awkward sentence, i made friends with them (JP) and rarely talk but most of them polite enough to ask for help when they need. But what people said on this thread are true enough, without static it'll be hard to clear some of end-game content. I might move to other server also someday (tonberry probably)
Elitism + Weeabooing. Anyone engaging in that combination of behaviors can have a seat, as far as I'm concerned.
I agree with the posters who say these people need to be reported and/or blacklisted. No one should stand for that kind of attitude, Japanese or any other nationality. SE also needs to lay down the law to these folks. Countrymen or no, this is an INTERnational game. If they want "JP Only", they should switch to PSO2 (at least until the honchos at Sega pull their heads from their rectal ducts and bring it stateside).
Classic.
