People SHOULD respect the fact that the new people are wanting to watch the CS's and not be rushed to death.
I personally feel like at the end of the day, people just do not patience in this game and wants to get stuff done as fast
    as humanly possible.

I watched a video in Lost city and I still got confused, I now know what to do from actual experience.

Watching things =/= Learning yourself first hand.
It's not respectful. This is why I'm saying a little respect goes a long way - on both ends. Those watching the CS's can try to fill out a party before going into DF, but I'm not going to expect them to build a full party. And even if they go in alone, 100% of the people should respect them and let them watch the cutscenes. But again, I perhaps have high expectations expecting -both ends- to put in -any- effort.

And you're right - people DO want to get things done fast. That's the kind of environment SquarEnix and the players have created. This flawed system of Myth currently is the best example - by making it so that the final boss doesn't drop myth, they made it so people could -easily- speed run. And no matter what they do, people -will- find a way to speed run.

I think the opo opo minion's a step in the right direction, though. Putting rewards behind the final boss is great.

As for watching the video, this is to serve the purpose of a supplement. It lets you know what will come, and it lets you know in advance what will be happening. It is to increase your awareness. I agree 100% that you will only learn by experiencing - as I am much the same. Until I have suffered something, I do not understand, but once I have - my reaction is better. Even still, my reaction in fights can only be improved by reading and watching something.

Yes, there was a an actual team, A group of people who know each/are in a static/fc and know that being the first one will require wipes.
On the other hand we now have a bunch of randoms getting thrown into a group by pure chance into content that has been out for ages.

If you cannot see the difference here i dunno what to say.
I am glad that I made you laugh ^^

If randoms cannot speak to each other - like it usually is.. then it's the entire party's fault.

Even if you have read all and watched all.. nothing will truly be ingrained until you experience it for yourself.

out for ages - I return your compliment you made for mine - this game isn't even 1 year old.. Let's chill out and enjoy - what a game should be.

I didn't feel like a burden on my party because all they had to do was just give little advices when I made mistakes or anyone else of the new people in the run did. Had anyone else in the run or myself come in with zero knowledge the run would have been a lot more painful. I do expect the worst in DF not gonna lie, but I'm simply trying here to just explain why it would be in everyone's good to at least know what you are going in to.
And yeah you can DF T1-5 solo.

*goes in DF to clear endgame content - expecting a win in 30 minutes, on the first try.. so not to waste time..

I recall someone saying: Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome - there was a term used for it..

If you enter a trial with 120 minutes - be sure to expect that it can take that long. And of course I wish you that you will have cleared it by the end, else there's no tomorrow..

People that clears all in the first week, with sometimes only 1 job (god forbid CC skills), are complaining the game is stale, there's nothing to do, I'm bored, I should quit.. game sux..

And I completely understand what you're saying. I just try to avoid conflict as much as possible, so I avoid as many expectations as possible when it comes to random people. It may benefit to go in being calm and not thinking about stuff like that, if DF is truly the option you are going with. That's all I'm trying to say

Ahh a newbie mmo player! They stick out like sore fingers. No patience, no idea of how long raiding used to be in the decent MMO's (remember those 8 hour corpse drags EQers? - FEAR!!!)

I'm with the OP on this...and I can't believe the amount of negativity and elitism here! Are you guys serious!? People should not be chastised for asking for a little advice. Period. This is an mmo. A place where we should help one another out. everyone has different experiences, so you can't expect everyone to know the mechanics of the fight right away. I don't care if it's PF, DF, whatever. It shouldn't be a REQUIREMENT to go to a website/youtube/whatever and study the mechanics before a fight.

This is the kind of crap that dulls out MMO's for me. (and I'm sure a lot of other people...but I know I don't speak for everyone) I guess I should just be grateful I hardly need to use DF/PF thanks to my FC. But wow people....just wow.

What if.. SE disallowed any Vids or strategy guides? Like it would be against the ToS..

Oh my, you would now really see what MASSIVE is in MMOs.. they would all be leaving lol

DF is for a challenge - to expect the unexpected. If you want to be 100% sure at things - PF, or FC.

Even so.. there are still wipes lolol

One thing you are right: respect. if you don't want to waste time and others - PF. *SE will have to put a Terms and conditions to click to agree before DF lolol (Before entering, make sure yo have 90 minutes - you'll encounter noobs with no prior experience or watched a vid - Agreed?)

I am with an FC that let us have a take at new content, and see with our shiny eyes all of the deads lying around. *fun, if you know what I mean ^^

Then, we will watch Videos and read strats when we had enough. (thank you to those who made it and took the time to put it to all of us, because no one communicates these days lol *Mr. Happy, even long ones, are very nice to watch - Kudos Mr.)

If you can't even pay the basest of respects and watch a video once, do not expect respect and hand holding to be lavished on you - people will call you what you are: Lazy.
Your last comment, using 3rd person to give out what you actually think, is nice as well ^^
