It has become a speed run game, everyone always pushes to go fast go fast, so that's probably why healers feel they have a harder job than they already did. It's not slow paced and social any more, just getting to the end asap. For that you can probably blame needing hundreds of dungeon runs to get animus weapon and things like that which take a huge amount of time. Nobody has time any more to be careful and it's all reckless fast runs fighting dozens of enemies at the same time where healers without high level gear aren't going to keep up.

There seems to be a recurring theme in some of the posts, which ilevel 60 tanks or something trying to speed run pulling tons of mobs at a time. You have to give them a break. When I was a fresh 50 I can't tell you how many times DPS AND healers went ahead of what I was tanking and pulled everything they could see. Now, at this time I had less hp than the entire group and here is the healer pulling up a storm, so of course I have no choice but to pull the enemies off the healer. Well after the healer can't heal me, we wipe, and guess what, after we resurrect and nobody says a damn thing about the incident the healer does the same freaking thing again, and we wipe a second time, then he finally just left.

The point I was trying to get in the story is that this behavior is infectious, meaning if you see a low ilevel tank trying to pull everything it was probably because his idiot party always went ahead of him, leaving him behind, in past dungeons and pulling everything to him. Now I see why there is a shortage of a tank and healer, if a dps isn't geared enough for a speed run, there are no consequences whatsoever.

Whoever said the adventurer in need these days is healer is absolutely correct! I've been getting this reward for days in a row now.

I still enjoy healing but at times, I do get really weary. All that speed running which always has a chance of failing is draining. I try to keep my Brayflox HM these days minimal because I cannot deal with SR anymore.

Healers like tanks are not expected to commit mistakes as their mistakes typically lead to wipes. Its tons of pressure there, especially when people find it easy to flame the healer since they are replaceable. Not many can cope with that. End of the day this is a game, the moment it stops being fun there are three paths to take.. Suck it up, change roles or leave.

Not entirely accurate. A speed run is a speed run if the mobs are dying fast. An undergeared DPS isn't going to pump out the numbers necessary to accomplish those big pulls. In such a case the tank must pull smaller packs. A single large pull will have the healer running out of mana before half the mobs are even dead. So gear on a DPS is just as important as healer and tank gear.

You only need one overgeared DPS to carry the other, it may make the speed run a bit slower, but not to the point where the healer is out of mana. Two undergeared DPS is half the group, of course you're going to wipe there

y'know, I think kids on their PS4s are rolling gladiator because they want to play with swords more than healing losing popularity. I'm sure it'll pass by the end of summer.

That said, everyone in here has been talking about under-geared tanks in end-game dungeons. It works in reverse, too. I recently was running Brayflox normal, pugged and ended up with a tank who was srsbsnss end-game raider. It was a rough run all around, but it was when the tank pulled two sets of mobs - the sets with the Ashdrakes - that we wiped. Rather than dusting off and going in again, the tank says some passive aggressive shit about how the healer can't keep up with "normal sized" pulls. I called her an ass and quit group. I hate raegquitting, but I also wasn't going to stand for someone blaming me for their poor decisions. I guess she was used to endgaming with her FC, but we were a pug from duty finder on a mid-level dungeon. I expect this kind of shit from WoW, not here.

Ha! Yep! Healers kept pushing me to go faster or running ahead of me pulling more enemies, and it happens so much that I learned to expect it and just pull large amounts of enemies myself without asking. I don't have low level tank gear, but sometimes it's hard on the healer and dps who might have low level gear, although that never seems to stop people wanting big pull speed runs anyway.

I just see the healer bonus for the low level random. I'll take it sometimes for something different, but it's kind of lame healing when you just have physic. But I don't need to heal with eos soloing it!

...but it's kind of lame dpsing with one aetherflow stack and no bane.

Back on topic though, for the other two randoms it's still been pretty much instant so maybe the gap is closing.
