It's the same as telling them to learn in DF, since they get all newbies usually as well, for like Titan.
You can queue for any duty you've unlocked, whether you've previously cleared it or not.
No amount of "this is how it works on the NA/EU/JP servers" will change that.
If anybody has a problem with getting new players up in their business, then own it. If anybody's actually an elitist whose valuable time is wasted by these awful new players, then the burden should be on them to form their own parties to quickly clear content. God knows they should have the FC and LS support to quickly fill an entire party who utterly destroys content if they're so damn awesome.
And if you still have a spot open on your Titan Extreme party or what not? Queue in DF, pick up a random player, maybe someone who's new, and carry them. Because if you can't do that, you're a failure of an elitist: you're a scrub.
I think you missed my point. I don't mind new people in PF or DF. My point is you're going to have a bunch of new players in DF too, but the problem is EVERYONE treats DF as practice, which is part of the issue with people dropping after 1-2 wipes. Yes, of course some of them do it because they expected a quick win.You can queue for any duty you've unlocked, whether you've previously cleared it or not.

DF isn't for practice/learning only, nor is it for 100% perfect wins. But in the state it is now, it's mostly useless for the harder content. I don't mind burning through a few groups who are learning or whatever, but when you can do 100s of runs with 0 wins, that's wrong. DF is there for people to get groups, not practice. The "accepted" standard as someone put it, is not. It's just certain people wanting to change the role of something based on how they see it.
Also I won't carry someone, I've always felt people need to earn their wins. Same as I won't allow myself to be carried.
If your doing 100s of runs and failing them I recommend Party Finder. Duty Finder is for both getting groups and for practice, since there is no rules as to what duty finder is for. Since its already been decided to be the source for practice, that's what its used for. It would be very difficult to change people opinions on it now, since many people don't even go on these forums.I don't mind burning through a few groups who are learning or whatever, but when you can do 100s of runs with 0 wins, that's wrong. And i'm saying people don't get to decide it's just for practice. Just by doing that they degrade it from it's intended purpose. I even tell people this in game. Someone who DFs something because they have little time to get a PF group or whatnot(ie what DF is for in the first place), should at least have a FAIR chance of getting the content down. Currently, with the harder things, they don't have that chance at all.If your doing 100s of runs and failing them I recommend Party Finder. So what happens when 7 people use pf to form a learning group and decides to que for the 8th and its happened to be you lol.I think you missed my point. I don't mind new people in PF or DF. I think you misunderstood what I was saying NO COMPLAINT just an observation that when I started learning in DF people had a lot more patience and learning curve. Now days it seems a lot harder to learn there hope that clears it up for you.Are you serious, OP?
Go into the Party Finder on my server and you'll see:
9 "Know the fight"/"weekly kill, be experienced or get kicked"/etc.-type parties looking for more.
5 FATE/Chocobo grinding groups
3 WTB/WTS/recruitment entries
0-1 learning parties for any content
Where the hell else are people supposed to learn if they're not in a helpful FC or LS, than not in the DF?
People also don't get to decided its not for practice (ironic). It's intentional purpose is not degraded, since you can still beat bosses with it.And i'm saying people don't get to decide it's just for practice. Also people expect to practice in Duty Finder and win in Party Finder, you telling them to go straight into Party Finder would hurt them since usually you need experience to get a Party Finder party.
The systems been established, use it to your advantage.
On a real note my only problem with duty finder is people expecting speedruns in dungeons, tanks skipping mobs in low level dungeons making new players lose exp and achievements.
