You want people to progress in player skill and not just gear but then again -snip- But I 100% agree there needs to be more than one way to progress not just gear.

There's already skill based progression. Ask any of the people who have T9 down (multiple groups now), along with any other content when it was just added, that did it without the gear crutch so many people rely on.
