I don't know; I'm really not trying to argue, and I definitely don't intend on sounding mean or snarky, but I feel like every single mmo I have played has plenty of content just like this. Difficult to get due to low drop chance, takes a long time, not everyone has a chance to get it. I really don't get it -- RNG doesn't hold a sense of fairness and compassion. It's not intended to. It absolutely sucks when people get super lucky streaks, yea. But that's the double edged sword of this system. And to be honest, games really need things like this. Yes, it absolutely can be improved! But that is an issue with FATEs, and not RNG.
This kind of content isn't meant for everyone to pewpewgotit, that will burn most people out.
If the RNG were more evenly distributed, we wouldn't see this kind of crap. With gathering or crafting I can live with this as it only affects myself, but within a group this becomes unfair. The "it's a MMO" argument doesn't cut it, everyone should have the same chances and it should be skill not an unfair RNG that decides progress. Slow progress is not the real problem, highly uneven progress because the RNG allows for improbable lucky streaks is a problem.I don't know; I'm really not trying to argue, and I definitely don't intend on sounding mean or snarky, but I feel like every single mmo I have played has plenty of content just like this.
