2.2 has sucked all the fun out of the game...

I'm not really having any fun right now either and after playing every single day pre-patch, I haven't played in a couple days and likely won't log in today either.

- Gating Leviathan Extreme and King Moggle Extreme behind Titan Extreme is stupid. I can MT/OT/DPS Titan Extreme through Super Bombs and normally not be hit by anything avoidable, but I still can't down this fight. I've been trying to for months. People have all but said that Titan is the most difficult fight of all the primals and yet I'm forced to continue to bang my head against it before I can even attempt Leviathan Extreme?

- Atma... yeah.. I'm not doing that. I'll either wait until they up the drop % or never get it. Long, boring grinds are not fun at all. Especially when all they did was recycle old fate content that most of us did a million times while leveling.

- Glamours... lol (the locked thread on this subject already stated why I hate this system).

- Myth unlock... they unlocked myth, but also made grinding it slow as christmas. Not everyone has a million hours to play per day. I have two or three per day max, so my myth collection doesn't really feel any different than pre 2.2. I'm still buying about 1 myth item per week. They made it so we could grind coil for i90 gear, but collecting myth is this slow? That really makes very little sense. I guess they did it that way for the stupid Atma grind.

Honestly, unlocking Coil has been just about the only thing I've enjoyed so far in this patch. I spent months tanking it and only had 1 drop the whole time. I now have several pieces on several jobs (though after 25 runs of Turn 2, the freaking tank pants have still yet to drop).

I think I'm about to just quit for a while. Maybe in 2.3 they'll make myth easier to grind, unlock the extreme primals for all and raise the drop rate of Atmas. Playing 2 or 3 hours per day and feeling like I accomplish nothing is not fun to me at all.

No one beat AV without exploits.
No one beat PW until it was nerfed due to bad press.
Having a relic pre-dynamis change just proved you were a selfish and manipulative.
Ground Kings were only rewarded to whoever had the best packet bot.

All 3 of those things were horribly designed, and I wouldn't classify any of them as hardcore--just stupid. Mostly only the people that played through RMT, or tagging along with people who did got to experience those things.

The problem is tediousness as you said, and it needs to be addressed.

I knew several people that had their Relic before the Dynamis change, and out of those 8 people only 3 were absolute (insert cuss word of choice). All others helped every member that wanted a Relic with dynamis. The funds were othervise used to get Medicine for specific fights when needed.


True those things were "stupid" but in FFXI times this was considered Hardcore. To be even able to get close to kill AV or PW you needed to invest either lots of gil or insane amount of time. Oh and AV got killed on Bahamut without exploits. A close friend of mine did it (well after Abyssea but still not "easy")

My EG LS claimed Fafninr, Behemoth several times and once also Nidhogg (which we had give away because several people at once had a DC because of poweroutage in their region). At that time we did not have claim bots. I left the LS for good when the Leader began to explain that he now will start using claimbots, I won't help anyone that uses such tools.

While I dislike Abyssea for what it has done to the game, you could have fun in it. The Hardcore aspect probably only the time you needed to get the things you wanted, but Farming Briaerus sure was soemthing else

A five million echo percent wont make people dodge divebombs or understand conflags because the 5% of "diamond class elite raider ppl" will NEVER teach or help a friend, they will help you for 1.5 or 2 million gil.

Uh? There are guides and videos.

What else do you want them to do? Come at your house and clear the content with your character?

One thing I haven't seen is that this update was intended to be for hardcore. At least that was my understanding. I definitely don't agree with the pathetic Atma drop rate, but the books for Animus is a step in the right direction. It is a grind with visible progression.

I haven't cleared Titan EX, so that weapon isn't available, and neither is Levi weapon. Also, I ahven't gone beyond T4 so while i have T5 avalaible, I haven't stepped in it yet. I don't blame SE for that, it is my own schedule, however I think the Atma rng is the only negative part of this update. The rest is really good.

I'm in the complete opposite boat, I hated 2.1 and thought it was boring/couldn't keep me logging in after Monday, now I'm excited to play every day. SO much to do.

I would just like to say thank you. so many ppl in this thread complaining are also the ppl that said they were going to take it at there own pace. now that they cant experience new content since they nvr got around to old content and they are mad... You all made the choice to do content at you own pace... now the "good" players arnt there to really help with that tier of content and there are alot of ppl looking for a carry that you are getting saddled with. This is what happens when you dont do new content when its fresh... and you can tell se saw this coming because of the new mounts are there probably to encourage "hardcores" to do old em with casuals.

To the rest.. with the echo and easily being able to out gear the content you claim is gating you.. get over it. For those that blame lag... if you lag to bad for titan you lag to bad for pretty much all new content. Im sorry but this mmo end game wont work for you.

And the rest... its pay to play not pay to win. Learn the fights dont rely on SE to nerf it into a enter and collect reward.

Seriously... I know the whole fight, don't have lag and I normally never get hit and even with echo I can't get a win. I'm not really sure what else I can do here.... I'm not going to pay 500K plus just to be able to move on to newer content.
