But why buy a SSD for $100+ when you can just get a PS4 for a couple of hundred more and not have your system you just upgraded not be dropped by Sony in 3-5 years. XD (my guess only)Not meloaded the last storyline dungeons and cutscenes of 2.0 well a head of my pc counter-parts, seriously people an SSD makes a world of difference.
I admit the PS3 is limited to what it can load in a timely fashion and what it can display compared to the PC/PS4 - BUT load times and draw distances/NPC/player rendering is improved by the SSD.
No need to drop PS3 just yet IMO, not unless they wanna lose players and revenue.

Why buy a PS4 when for not much more you can buy a PC and not have your system you just bought dropped by Sony in 6-7 years?
Lol 9+. Their past systems seem to have lives of atleast 10 years. And because I hate mouse and keyboard controls and not all games allow for a game pad.

I upgraded to an SSD back in November in preperation for hitting end-game since I was expecting to hit it much sooner (life got in the way), got a realitively cheap pre-owned one myself. Also I'm suggesting the upgrade to an SSD as an alternative for the players who cant afford a PS4 (such as myself) and those who dont want to lose/use their PS3's in trading-in for a PS4 - again like me, I have far to many games still left to play in my collection lol.
