PS3 Players are Handicapped

I for one am really excited about transitioning to PS4. My only complaint as far as my PS3 experience is the loading screens. Granted, if SE would give us an option to disable previously viewed CS, it would no longer be an issue. Also, being able to actually participate in Behemoth and Odin fights without freezing up every 3 secs, as well as not having to wait 5 mins in Mor Dhona for NPCs/other players to pop up on my screen. As far as the dungeon content, meh, I really haven't had the horrible issues with Titan that some of my fellow PS3 users have had, but from what I hear, PS4 version will be glorious! I do enjoy playing PC games, but God Boxes are ridiculously expensive, and I couldn't justify playing an MMO on anything less, PC wise. PS4 is an affordable, workable solution for my current situation. Would I love to play games on a $4k God Box? Absolutely. It would be heaven. But I don't have that kind of disposable income, so I have to settle for spending a 10th of that amount, and getting what appears to be a really nice machine!

Its a bit out of order calling for ps3 support just cause YOUVE got a ps4 and coulnt clear content on ps3. I know plenty of ppl on ps3 who are progressing through 2.2 content. I played the beta too and know how much a difference it makes but seriously dont call for support to be dropped just cause you no longer need it, yoshi p already said IF they drop ps3 it wont be til at least 3.0, that gives ppl time to save and get a ps4 and im sure ppl will, if they dont tho im sure ps3 players will still clear stuff just not as fast as ps4/pc players.

I played the PS4 version only for three days and after returning to the PS3 version I do feel a bit handicapped too lol. They did everything they could for a enjoyable PS3 version and I am glad they released it for it but the good ole PS3 is just not performing well enough for this Game rendering wise. I am not talking about beeing unplayable or making it impossible to win harder fights. It is possible with the PS3 as well but the PS4 version is just much more enjoyable because it is more fluent.

Loading times are maybe half of PS3 loading times, graphics are better (not like a new Game but you can see the diference on textures and lightning). And most important thing for me, everything is running smooth. On PS3, when I come to a retainer bell, I see 2-3 people around it. When I click on it, 20 players pop up and it takes 10 or more seconds till my retainer hits me up. Beeing first time in Gridania on the market place was overwhelming on PS4 lol. I saw all the people directly, clicking on the bell made my retainer appear instantly. No waiting time, no Player and texture loading. Same for NPC's in crowded areas, like for example the NPC's at the Grand company. On PS3 the place is empty when I go there. No NPC's, only few players. It takes more than 10 seconds till I can see all NPC's. On PS4, everything is just there when I arrive.

Fights also make much more fun on PS4. On PS3 I have disabled all effects to fight lag and latency. On PS4, everything is set to max and no matter how much is going on on the screen, it always looks very nice and it is fluent. Some effects I have never seen and it feels almost like a new Game.

On PS3, I did not enter the Odin /Behemoth FATES anymore because they were no fun. On PS4 I tried Odin and after half a year, this fight was fun for the very first time. I am not talking about the adjustments they made so you can get a better result more easily now. I was there during the entire fight, saw Odin and a boat load of players during the fight, saw all AOE's in time and did not die. And although there was really a lot going on, it wasn't slow or too laggy. Performance went down a bit for sure but nowhere near unplayable like it was on PS3.

I can't wait to go back to the PS4 version of the Game.

And as far as I know, loading times are a nightmare. When I run dungeons with PS3 players, they take a lot to load and start the Duty. I don't mind that, but they always let me know their frustration about it.

Well - I play on PS3 and 95% of the time I'm the first who loads to duty and then still waiting second or two for second player to pop up and after that a little more for the rest. I do have fast line (500 Mb) and SSD drive in PS3 (nothing fancy, mid range several years old Kingston) and actually my PS4 tooks a tiny bit longer to load up to duty then PS3 so I've ordered the 480 GB SSD from Crucial (which is being delivered today) and will swap it tonight to have it ready for Friday. So it's not all black and white and PS3 could still perform quite well - definetelly better that many "non-gaming" PCs.

This really needs to happen!

And something for FATEs that pops up like when someone teleports, asking if you want join fate with yes/no defaults to Yes where you just press Enter/X or Escape/Crircle to just close the window, or just click yes/no, I know there is macro /lsync but sometimes i still forget, and with the ps3 still some Fates don't load mobs till hey are just about over!
