Atmas - Unfair for low level players

Because there has been people who were shouting in the shout channel cursing at high level players for booting them off the party and also just numerous bronze awards. High level people said something to the line of "lol u mad bro" or "Do hunting logs, quests, story, leves and challenge logs" - but in the end, they threw off a comment saying that they were stuck at 3-4 levels unable to leve/challenge/hunting/quest. So I did argue in the shout channel with high levels that low levels should be able to have a chance to join FATE groups to level or allow them to gain EXP. But guess what, they have responded with the words as in "lol but we need to get our atma. what if it drops from one of those low level FATEs" - I mean, am I wrong to just jump in to defend for these players? No. I am not. I clear understand where they are coming from because I've had similar experience when I first played FFXIV too getting stuck at some levels.

Also, I know it wasn't a response to me, but don't say Balmung is an elitist server. I've been on it since 1.0 and have met plenty of people who aren't compared to those that are.

Most players play casually to understand that it is possible to do your methods to hit 50 in a month. However most players take it a bit seriously or play throughly in a week to experience all the content in a week, so it is a player's choice on what they do. But I've experienced what people said to me and I am just throwing my thread in here to share their complaints and rude words to me. I wasn't upset but I did understand where they were coming from.

Also Balmung is technically an elitist server even though there are many denials. It's in one of the top 5 servers that has been labeled that way because of how people treat other players regarding gears and trying to do simple runs. Do you really need ilvl 90+ to do Coil Turn 1-2 enrage? No. You don't.

Considering I have yet to see this on Hyperion (could just be luck. Though I haven't been to the standard FATE sites in a while), could it be possible this is just a Balmung thing?

Adapt to the game. You obviously had a bad experience and want to take out your frustrations out here on something for a completely irrelevant reason. If you can't get your levels by means other than FATE's, you are doing something wrong. You chose to completely ignore the post that allowed lower level players to join their PT's, or tell lower level players to make their own PT if that's really what you have your heart set on doing. You cannot convince me that lower lvl players can't get Gold on FATEs because higher lvl players are doing them. Once again, you adapt. Don't use long-cast abilities, use Tab to target, use AoE like crazy, it doesn't matter, you are capable of keeping up. They have the same limitations as you.

There will always be low level players that are little twats~ in the same way there will always be high level players that are little twats.

Using them as an excuse to change a game mechanic is pathetic and you should feel bad~ Please, get off Balmung if that's how you play~ We don't want you around anymore

This is the same on many servers, and is also more rare than you'd like to believe. I have seen way more minimum ilvl, or "just know the mechanics" runs every day compared to those that are how you described. They just fill up quickly so you don't always catch them. If you don't like it, make your own with your own requirements. I do it all the time.

I don't understand why people would boot low level players from their FATE farming party. Having someone in the party who's not eligible to receive an Atma doesn't prevent you from getting one. The drop isn't by party, it's determined individually. Proof of this is that I've seen 2 or even 3 people I was in a party with receive an Atma from the same FATE.

Even if you don't believe me that it's not 1 drop per party per FATE (seriously, it's really not), having someone in the party who can't receive it would improve your chances of getting it, no? People are really dumb sometimes.

You can always tell a lot about a person by whether they say "get off our server" to someone who's actually trying to help lowbies out.

They haven't been asking that the entire Atma grind be completely changed to not include FATEs, they're just asking it be tweaked so that the rabid pack of jackals running around lowlevel areas don't hurt a low level person's chances of getting a high ranking in a FATE (and thus the most xp and seals). It may be different on each server with how badly low level players are affected, but that shouldn't mean the issue is irrelevant completely.
