Atmas - Unfair for low level players

This is a very important discussion. Because low levels have complained that they can't FATE a single area because high levels have been hogging the places for Atma farming with chocobos on their mount, and they had been getting bronze or nothing. Even if they join Atma party, they are booted for other 50s to get an opportunity to get Atmas. Really? Is this how the game should be? Kicking low level players to encourage high levels to get their relic weapons?

These Atma farmings are in low level places. FATEs in low levels are really made for low levels, not lvl 50s.

I suggest that either you increase the drop rate a lot or just limit certain FATEs for only 50s to farm in. Because none of them are working properly. We need books still anyways.

I was PMed by 10 low lvl people saying I am an "a**hole" and other rude comments and I apologized to them sincerely and explained that it was really developers that though of this ridiculous idea.

No. That is not excusable. Forming your party WON'T change anything when you can't ride chocobos or make it in time when all high lvls take over and finish the FATE before you can reach it in time. Especially if you are low level, you have lesser chance to get gold FATE reward.

Nice. "I think this is bad, and if you disagree with me *%#%@$#(&%!" I can tell you're looking for a civil discussion and not just whining to hear yourself whine.

I've been leveling PGL the past couple days, and I've been getting golds consistently without much trouble (and without a PT or chocobo). If you're getting bronzes in FATEs you have to change your tactics.

Here's how FATEs work. It isn't about how many enemies you get credit for killing. It's about how many times you are able to execute a skill on a FATE target. The key in a crowded FATE is to be constantly switching targets and tapping as many as you can. It doesn't take a lot to get a gold rating, and you don't have to stay in the FATE area to get credit. So you do enough in one FATE so you know you'll get a gold, then you check your map and start heading to the next one.

If you go into it believing what the General Discussion Piss & Moan Club tells you about them being "boring, mindless grindfests", then yeah you're gonna have trouble. If you pay attention and know the mechanics, it goes real fast and it works quite well.

These low level FATEs are being overrun because of the Atma farming. They are being cleared at warp speed from experienced players coming in huge crowds (via their fast mounts) and demolishing them before most low level players can put forth the necessary output to earn decent rewards.

To build even more frustration, Atmas have a pathetically low drop rate, meaning the high level players are forced to keep going from FATE to FATE in hopes they'll finally get the things to drop, and are further frustrated by the fact that the FATEs they have to finish are easy.

So, low level players can't get in edgewise at these FATEs from the sheer amount of LVL 50+ players hammering them all over, and high level players are losing their minds grinding easy and "boring" FATEs for hours for a drop they badly need.

It's a crapshoot in it's current form.

No you DON'T. If you read my first reply, you have to basically wait for 5 hours of your time. Also there are 80% likely a chance that you can't really level to do the next rank of Hunting log. Worst part? When you have 0 allowance for leves, and finished hunting logs, and had been waiting for 5 hours as a DPS on Duty Finder - and you are stuck in that huge amount of level gap to do anything.

Then what? You do FATE grinding. But with all of these 50s hogging the FATEs, then they can't even grind at all.

At least oh Hyperion Lv 50 Players tend to stick to fates closer to their Lv IF. Mind you i said IF the zone permits it. so lower Lv players can still utilize fates in some zones.

Well don't forget, those of us on Hyperion are of a higher class then those on other servers. Best server, Hyperion server.


Now to be serious, , This is honestly the only atma complaint thread, that is valid. I actually do feel bad for low level and new players in the game trying to get experience off of fates while this is going on. Especially when peopel say stupid crap like this:

WRONG! Hunting log will not take you to level 15 with out doing fates and guildhests at the same time. Not to mention that while you're waiting on a dungeon queue to pop, you can, IDK, DO SOME DAMN FATES FOR MORE EXP. lrn2maximize your leveling ability.
