Atmas - Unfair for low level players

Ok, so I was being so evil by creating a PF entry that clearly stated "Western La Noscea, Atma farm - 4 relics only! other 4 spaces are reserved for lvl30 or below players" and strictly enforced that policy~ allowing 4 lvl30 players to experience a full party long before endgame+giving them free-reign over the LB and providing them with gear that I crafted on the spot if they were wearing vastly outleveled stuff?

Boohoo to your twisting of the issue OP~ The low level players I've met have been exceptionally thankful of the Atma farming~ it proved to them that the game actually has a player population and that they can contribute even from a low level~

Hi, as someone who's new to the game, and played through lower level zones with 50's grinding for ATMA's, I'd like to ask SE to ignore the OP.

Yes, it's annoying when the mobs are killed faster than I can cast a DoT on them, even more annoying when you can tell that it's a 50 who doesn't know how to use the sync button.

However, it's not even been a week since the patch released.

I don't think the OP cares the least about lower level players, he commented about the drop rate; I believe that that is his problem.

I'm sorry, but it's pretty pathetic that I'm seeing so many people complaining about not being able to get one of the best weapons in the game in less than a week. Seriously, that's sad, and it's you people that ruin games.

Funniest part is, it isn't one of the best weapons in the game. It's one of the highest iLVL weapons, but the stats are pretty awful compared to i95-100 weapons. Otherwise, as other people said, you can make it what you want. Make a PT that also includes lower lvl players. Or don't FATE grind. You have leves, hunting log, challenge log, duty roulette, DF, quests, and other things to do while you wait like crafting.

It's a part of the game designed for any player at that level to do. If they want to actually be on a FATE grind train, they can and should be allowed to enjoy it. Just because it's not efficient or they have other options does not mean that they should not be allowed to fully enjoy the content designed for their level.

One of the best solutions is for ATMA parties to also allow the players who are enjoying the content provided to them to join their groups. The problem is when you have a map that has like lvl 15 fates through mid lvl 40s and if groups are dicks about it since their low level party members wouldn't help contribute in the higher level FATEs.

That's really funny because I've seen couple of people like yourselves restricting item level for Atma farming to only allow certain levels to join the party when it was Western LaNoscea. Considering that you are from Balmung, you should be WELL aware of how elitist the server is even though they don't have the skills to support it. So please don't be a hypocrite.

You obviously have not read through the entire thread to read my points. There are always some gaps of leveling if you've reached to the point where you've done all of those and you haven't reached 10s/20s/30s/40s/50s to do new hunting logs/challenge/dungeon/leves etc.

Oh really? I was one of the players restricting Item level when I was Atma farming? I'm glad you know what I did better than I do~

I know there are SOME elitists on Balmung, but I know there are so many more players on Balmung that AREN'T.

Also, how exactly am I being a hypocrite by doing the exact opposite of what you have accused me of doing?

No one deserves to have their opinion ignored. It's a valid concern, and honestly, as a 50, I find it boring the current system myself.

But let's go on -

If the 50 isn't using the synch button, they aren't killing it. You want to know why? Because the 50 won't be able to attack targets. Effectively, that entire statement is false.

I can accept that it is one, amongst many, problems. But I know that if I ever choose to level my MNK, it's going to be by dungouns most likely with minimal Fate grinding. Why? Because I already have enough trouble on my max-level DRG trying to tag mobs. I don't want to imagine the nightmare of being an on-level Monk.

And that's what a lot of people need to remember. You may have an easy time getting Gold in a fate as your 50 solo (Hell, I do at times.) - But someone who's actually on-level, dealing small portions of damage and -not- trying to claim mobs (if they're a new player, they may not realise they need the name to be red) is going to have a -far- harder time.

It's not really one of the best weapons in the game. It's i100. It's a nice upgrade, but there are others that are usually going to be better, especially for raiding (i110.)

*rolls eyes* Okay well, the low levels that you've met are obviously either trolling or just threw a sarcastic remark. Because that's not the feed back I've had.

I have almost all of my jobs at 50 and I don't agree with you at all. Dungeons will always be there. FATEs are a go in-between if anything. Ever since DR was introduced, I have gotten a job to 50 in about a month doing almost exclusively those (and daily beast quests once I got to the necessary level) with only about 1-2hours of playtime dedicated to lvling. If you are trying to get a job to 50 in a week, I suppose the times you mention would be an issue.

Also, I know it wasn't a response to me, but don't say Balmung is an elitist server. I've been on it since 1.0 and have met plenty of people who aren't compared to those that are.
