Feedback Regarding the Relic Upgrade Quest

ITT: It's only been a week; the next patch probably won't be announced until June, and we probably won't be seeing it until September.

At their current pace, the next content patch will be in June. The typical release time for a content patch is 3 months. Also consider that they have already said that there will be a patch prior to the next content patch, 2.25.

A) hey i'm gonna head to upper la noscea to try for my 2nd drop. but i'll stay in pt.

B) ok cool. i'm gonna stay here and try and grind this one out.

*A teleports*

A) omg! boom! 2nd atma

B) (still in central shroud) um... yay? thats awesome. still here in c. shroud tho

A) hang in there. it'll drop soon. I'm gonna head to central thanalan

*20 min pass

A) boom! 3rd atma! get wrecked!

B) WHAT THE *$@* IS THIS @$*# !!! I'M STILL IN CENTRAL SHROUD!! *flips table*

THEY NEED TO INCREASE THIS DAMN DROP RATE! This is freaking bullcrap, over a week and I'm still not done. Pushing 800 fates and damn near 40 hours of grinding.

SE should have enough data by now to do something about this. Some people were done in the 1st 12hrs and here we are a week later and a lot of people that have been farming the whole time still aren't done.

3/12 while spending some ungodly time on Fate.
I like to moan and bitch and complain to my LS/FC about the horrendous drop rate but otherwise I think it's fine.
People should suffer for the relic as there are no skills required to get those atma.

EDIT : about the unfairness of the RNG, I think I read something about the mage drops in coil. It's not as bad as in FFXI anyway.
The RNG has become a laughing matter in our GC.

Would love if they kept the RNG but also added code such that as you tick up to a mazimum of 50 FATEs, you get the Atma by your 50th FATE or sooner if the RNG gods smile upon your misery.

Still? Did you start the quest? Are you using Zenith? How many days have you been at it? Are you only sitting in one zone? Pretty sure you are doing it correctly. I didn't get my 1st Atma until the 3rd day.

This is what I do.. I have two retainers so every hour I go to town check and send them on ventures every hour. I will spend max 2hrs in one zone and I will move to another.

I'm 10/12 this is how my days went

1st/2nd days nothing, 3rd day I got two, 4th day nothing ,5th day three (long day), 6th day two, 7th day three(another long day) and today nothing.

There should be some hidden fate tracker and at least 1 in 50 chances. So far my average has been like 1 in 80. But I went a lot more than 80 fates without one.

i got my old macbook to bootcamp windows and now i can farm fates at less than 720p resolution at an abysmal 16 FPS while I'm at work! Wooooooot! Good thing they require NO SKILL, ATTENTION, COORDINATION OR EXPERIENCE WHAT SO EVER!

4. I was originally sitting in one zone at first but now I hop. Luck of the draw I guess. I have always had poor RNG, I usually tell anyone rolling against me they are likely to win. 9x out of 10 this is always the case. Bad luck Bell. u_u
