They're "fine" with it. You chose your words very carefully. Why didn't you say "they love it" or "they are having an absolute blast doing it"? Because you know it's not true.

Some people find it acceptable to do something completely mindless and boring if it grants them the satisfaction of an item that not many other people have. Final Fantasy XI was a game that was based on this very concept. What I said was not a generalization. It is a truthful observation on the nature of FFXI.

I was as hard core as an FFXI vet as they come. The grinding is completely fine to me. What isn't okay is the god damn rng associated with these drops. It's complete bs.

Personally I don't mind nor care for the grind. I'm enjoy everything that 2.2 has to offer.
