This has been my experience as well. It used to be that every time you did your leves, you'd return with most of your gear at or near 0%, it's not even close to that now.valid concern, but its not a big a problem as you think
doing leves(5-7 a day) and behests, i have to repair maybe once every other week....thats my weapons
maybe once a week if that on my armor
thats not alot of repairing, and its not cutting into your time, once a week is easy enough to send a shout in town for 5 minutes to get repairs(unless you refuse to pay for them, which is another issue, and your own fault)
i almost feel dumb walking around with self repair mats all the time when i use them once a week lol

I'm not saying that the money is a problem for most players... I'm just saying that the idea i gave would help out the ppl that don't want to lvl a craft for repairs or can't be bothered hunting down someone that can... while giving the ppl that put the extra effort into repairing their gear a reward.... By having the NPC repair to 100% I'm sure a lot of players will be happier... and making Players that repair gear give it a durability bonus would be a good reward to encourage repairing the gear yourself... I believe this is a way to keep the repairs in the game with out as much complaints... As much as i hate repairing my gear i like the idea of having to repair it..The Problem is not the money or the lack of high crafters, the problem is having to costantly worry about all the gears, if you level up 3-4 jobs (as 99% of the players) you will have incredible difficulties in keeping all your gears at a decent durability, this because you just can't go to a camp and do 3-4 levels without worrying about repairs. and this sucks.
i just dont like how if i'm an archer and don't get hit my pants degrade? x.X
the only decently high craft i have is goldsmith and even i dont want accessory's to degrade...its a huge fricken pain...seriously at the minimal id like it to be removed from them.
In general though, as someone who doesnt always like to craft much, it feels like a giant burden going through 10+ pieces of gear, having to take them off, bazaar them and wait for multiple different crafters to walk by and fix them, or spend my time shouting for them. The repair NPCs should fix them full for not such a ridiculous price and crafter fixes should be meant for on the go. Not only that but it should be a simple thing, i dont want to go through the already semi clunky menus to take off every piece, then seek repairs and set rewards.
Yea i think that is a bit unfair, Gear should lose durability if its being used/damaged Not from being in combat... I also think light armor should lose it slightly faster then tank armor... "Tank's have stronger armor" But they also get hit more :P
Yea i do like WoW's repair system a little more, only having the main pieces of gear and weapons/shields lose durability... having rings and necklaces lose it is a bit annoying... taking all the gear off to repair it and putting it all back on again takes quite some time...
like when I go out mining and my armor degrades, I'll take a good few hours of mining to then head back to town to repair my armor. I really don't want to mine in my undies.Yea i do like WoW's repair system a little more, only having the main pieces of gear and weapons/shields lose durability... having rings and necklaces lose it is a bit annoying... taking all the gear off to repair it and putting it all back on again takes quite some time...
i have been leveling crafts only for the simple fact of repairing my equipment.. it sucks, i want to play the game, not sit in a room all day leveling 5 crafts just so i can level my one DOW class. Personally the only classes i would like to level is Alchemy and Goldsmith, but am forced to level up others crafts for repair... Lets face it, trying to find people to reapair your stuff sucks, especially since the equipment degrades way to fast.
My suggestion to SE would be to Lower the degradation on everything by half, and make crafting MORE FUN!![]()
