I hate the idea of Echo Buff. It should be part of some easy server not whole game.

I think it would be best to give achievements for "Beating ______ without use of the echo."

My thoughts exactly. If Yoshi wants to follow WoW model so much as he stated, then there should be separate achievements for defeating a raid with and without echo, so both groups of players can feel like they accomplished something.
