Now they hold our Free companies Ransom.

This whole giving up leadership automatically and demoting the former master in a free company as 35days is ridiculous. The Veteran rewards, sure nice incentive to keep playing and keep re-subbing. This forces me to re-sub if I want to keep any of the hard work that I put into my FC. I made the company with one of my friend and a random for a signature. I payed the 15k reg fee, I payed 2.4mil for our small housing lot and permit. I built all furniture & customize it. Now If for any reason I cant log on pass 35 days one of the members who's a good guy, but doesn't play much can get it all.

Only solution now is if I plan to take some time off and not resubscribe for a bit. Not knowing the exact time when ill log back on, is to be safe and kick everyone out of the FC. Thanks SE

Edit: 1000 char Cap cant express fully

Why would you lead a FC if you don't plan to play with it?

If your leaving for a extended period of time it would be prudent to promote a intermin leader anyways. If it's something out of your control you should still have one or two trustworthy backups. You could also not just /invite every single person you see.

Pretty much this. So your preference is to leave active players in the guild with no control over it. Just to stockpile your personal little empire points?

If you only use the FC house for your personal housing, kick everyone else from your FC. If you share it with your friend, pass leader to the friend while you're gone.

First Ill state that I wanted to explain more in my first post but that 1000 character cap left me with little options.
I totally agree with If I wasn't going to play I would give someone the power that I trusted. But the one person I trust the most in my FC plays almost the same games as me most of the time. What happens If we get caught up in another game together? I go on holidays or whatever. Leadership gets passed onto one of the new members who joined couple months ago. My FC it has basically been only me and my friend lvling it up. Minus some randoms who haven't been on since Nov. I swear it was only the two of us from rank 2-5. Then last month I was approached by someone (John we'll call him) looking for a new FC. Now let's say Day15 of my hiatus John recruits a new player and lets him join the FC. Day28 John takes a break for personal matters. 7days go buy and since the new guy was the only one logged on in the passed 7days he becomes the new leader. This seem right?

Again if you build your company up to any respectable level you will have more than one backup guy (Who isn't even a backup as you stated if you dissapeared he would probably do so as well). It would also be prudent to not just "Invite that guy looking for a FC" Add people to your free company that you trust and want to play with, that's the whole point of the thing in the first place.

Not to invite random people and pray to the twelve that they aren't terrible people.

Isn't MMO's a place to make friends and be social? Gotta start somewhere giving someone a chance when they seem sincere. Just seems like the timing for me and this is horrible. And that's why I'm looking at it this way.

No that doesn't seem right, but if you plan to run a very slack guild you should probably kick everyone and invite them to an LS instead, where there is no risk of what you mentioned above happening.

From the sounds of it your FC doesn't sound very fun to be in anyway.

    Jesus Christ...

You do realize that you're not the target of this move right? This isn't a grand scheme to force you into keeping your subscription active.

This is aimed at helping those people out there whose FC leaders aren't planning on coming back, who didn't make any plans to pass on leadership and left the rest of their group in an irreconcilable limbo because all group functions are locked into someone who has no plans to come back to the game.

Put yourself in the shoes of someone that isn't a FC leader, someone who has supported their FC and chipped in to pay for a house and everything else. Now imagine one day your leadership stops logging in, no one is around that can promote, no one can assign group privileges, no one can purchase or activate actions. What choice do you have then? You sit around in a dying group hoping that one day someone comes back around so your investment in the group wasn't a total wash?

If you can't trust the people in your FC to let leadership pass to them while you are gone... then forget about kicking everyone until you come back and just disband your group because it obviously isn't worth anything.

Too many scenarios where this could go wrong though. You clearly don't understand my situation. I completely understand the problem others would be in and how it would suck. Definitely something like this is very helpful I agree 100% on that. But too take away the master rank and a possibility of someone you did not recruit or weren't online when recruit, holds too big of a threat. Whats stopping him from selling everything? Gaining everything you've worked so hard for and he hasn't even started paying or plan on continue playing after his free-trial stops. What's stopping the possibility when I go on holidays for say. This should be a setting turned on by default. Otherwise give us an option to turn if off if we play with a few irregulars and have little options to give up leadership in your place
