Would you be upset if the game went offline?

I wouldn't mine if the servers went down and fix's things. Honestly once the poll was done on what people would like to see changed from the question's Yohsi asked. Then they should of just shut them down and spare themselves all the forum's bs saying thanks hope you enjoy the new feature's once the server's come back online.

OK, remind yourself not to work in server administration then. If I told my company I was going to take down all the core servers to implement an upgrade without a backup server I'd be eating ramen and dirt and living in a van down by the river.

You honestly think there's no way to work on the game without taking all the servers down? How did you come to that conclusion?

It'd be the death knell for this game. A year or two is a long time; People's interests would gravitate to other MMOs and it would give other game companies the opportunity to snag subscribers. After a year or two of being invested into another game, do you really think people would flock back in droves? It's corporate suicide.

Not to mention the fact that it will appear to the outside world, shareholders and investors that the company has given up on it's product. There are several layers to this. It's not as simple as "Take servers offline, fix stuff, come back with same population or more".

Lie - Kam is ready to flock back in 2 years, no questions asked. Why wouldn't you risk wasting more time two years from now on a game that has proven to be trash?

I feel that the people who left early on are likely not coming back anyways if they don't come back after 1.18. If you're still playing now you've invested time into your character; When the servers go down for an extended period of time, people's interest will wane and they'll find something else to spend their time on and forget about this game. After you've invested time in another game and are currently playing it, have friends and stuff, are you really going to leave that game and abandon it?
