What's wrong with SWTOR, AION, RIFT, TERA? looks like they're still running and people are enjoying it, not to mention they're all profiting, so what's the problem?
A declining playerbase, a less than stellar community, a heavy encouragement on using real money for everything (from dungeon resets to current tier gear to just being able to hold your stuff because bag slots are gated behind real money pay walls), sparse content updates because more focus is spent getting people to use the cash shop, etc.
Playerbase seems fine if they're still making profits. Community? Laughable, read through the threads on these forums. Cash shop? They gotta make money somehow. Point is, people are still playing and enjoying those games just like if you and your 20% leave this game, there will still be people playing and enjoying this game. You certainly won't be missed so go ahead and speak with your wallet.A declining playerbase, a less than stellar community, a heavy encouragement on using real money for everything (from dungeon resets to current tier gear to just being able to hold your stuff because bag slots are gated behind real money pay walls), sparse content updates because more focus is spent getting people to use the cash shop, etc.
I already have =P as have many of my friends and many of my FC and many more who have said if the game continues to be this easy they wont be around much longer (all of us originally paid for 3-6 months and everyone has either quit or set it to 1 month just to try for the new patch) a drop in a bucket wont be missed but start taking out cups at a time and your bucket will end up empty =PPlayerbase seems fine if they're still making profits. I am not paying for this anymore I cancelled my sub I found the forums more entertaining than the game itself personally. I already did make the switch =P
You are entitled to your own opion but then again so am I and while these opinions may differ I have no problem respecting yours though I wont be changing mine becaue of it.

This is assuming a decent chunk of the playerbase thinks like you. Statistically, this obviously isn't true. XIV has no indication of slowing down. Every MMO has its chunk of people who burn out and attack the game designers for their frustration, they leave, more come behind them. Trust me, you are much less than a drop in a bucket.I already have =P as have many of my friends and many of my FC and many more who have said if the game continues to be this easy they wont be around much longer (all of us originally paid for 3-6 months and everyone has either quit or set it to 1 month just to try for the new patch) a drop in a bucket wont be missed but start taking out cups at a time and your bucket will end up empty =P
The game has over 1,500,000 players in total worldwide, and less than 99% of them bother with these forums. clearly something is drawing them in long enough for that number to grow. It isn't going to curve off in a month or two.

This is because you're probably waiting for it to change. otherwise you'd have already moved on. But It won't. No matter how much forum complaining exists, it won't change the course of this game or bring it down to any noticeable degree.
There has to be something actually wrong with the game for that to happen. But there isn't.

ok seriously people please understand THIS IS THE TOTAL NUMBER OF REGISTERED COPIES OF THE GAME NOT THE NUMBER OF CURRENT ACTIVE SUBS.
How many of those are gil seller, alt, retired, and or inactive legacy accounts? All the 1.0 chars are still in the system in case they return, same for the retired. Notice how they cleverly avoided the word 'active' in their marketing?
Also keep in mind the prepaid & 'Monday only' players, just because someone paid through to October doesn't mean they are still there or more then a few hours a week.
This is an opinion statement, but not factual. there are plenty of things wrong with the game, but a lot more things that people just do not like.

Very true I would like to see official active sub numbers before people bring up this many people have an account... I know a lot of people tried 1.0 and just never liked it. How many of those accounts are still sitting there being counted or the RMT accounts. Another question is how many are people who bought the game because of the MASSIVE advertisement campaign this game has been given tried it for a montha nd decided it wasnt for them. Active subs is far and away more important than sold copies because an MMO makes its money long term not short term.
