yes but my "mula" is going to the game style I personally enjoy and funding that rather than funding this game which if by chance others choose to follow suite will slowely decrease the development budget of this game to the point there will be delays cut corners and an overall quality drop. Will that happen no idea but I know I have made my choice and encourage others to do the same. This isnt the only MMO out there and there is far more choices for entertainment. If even 20% of the player base quits and they dumb down end game because NOONE is doing it so that now the new top 20% are ending up in the same boat and quit and that continues then what? going to keep telling them to quit and move on ? Its going to be an amusing boat to watch hopefully it doesnt end up like SWTOR or Aion or Rift or Tera or... well see the list of any released MMO in the last 5 years.

What's wrong with SWTOR, AION, RIFT, TERA? looks like they're still running and people are enjoying it, not to mention they're all profiting, so what's the problem?

A declining playerbase, a less than stellar community, a heavy encouragement on using real money for everything (from dungeon resets to current tier gear to just being able to hold your stuff because bag slots are gated behind real money pay walls), sparse content updates because more focus is spent getting people to use the cash shop, etc.

Playerbase seems fine if they're still making profits. Community? Laughable, read through the threads on these forums. Cash shop? They gotta make money somehow. Point is, people are still playing and enjoying those games just like if you and your 20% leave this game, there will still be people playing and enjoying this game. You certainly won't be missed so go ahead and speak with your wallet.

I already have =P as have many of my friends and many of my FC and many more who have said if the game continues to be this easy they wont be around much longer (all of us originally paid for 3-6 months and everyone has either quit or set it to 1 month just to try for the new patch) a drop in a bucket wont be missed but start taking out cups at a time and your bucket will end up empty =P

...congratulations? Why don't you just make the switch permanent? Nobody is forcing you to pay to play this, and if you can spend your money elsewhere then what on earth is stopping you.

I am not paying for this anymore I cancelled my sub I found the forums more entertaining than the game itself personally. I already did make the switch =P

20% reduction of player base is quite substantial cut in FF14's profit and R&D funding, but I guess ignorant people will pretend that's nothing.

And people say hardcores are complaining about the game because they care about the game and want it to develop and prosper. Guess what? Posts like these show that they only care about themselves, not about the game or the company, stooping so low as to hope the company goes under so that their own wants are met. Holding a game you claim to support at gunpoint is not supporting it. SE should not give in to these players as if they cater to their whims, what is going to happen next time? More demands..and more and more. When these demands are not able to be met, they will leave the game without the blink of an eye.

These are the players who have a negative impact on the community and its creating a bad vibe for the game and for me personally I am glad they are gone. Good riddiance! You won't be missed!

LOL If you read my posts I am far from hardcore and I would thank you not to label me as such. I have not fought twintania and I have no intention to I dont sit there endlessly grinding chocobo levels or looking at other plyers gear thinking I have to get that. I am quite casual in my gameplay... I play a game to have fun, however I find no fun in having a game spoon fed to me or my pace of a game determined by others or having others pace determined by me.... I ask you this what exactly is your definition of hardcore ?

To me Hardcore is someone who seeks advancement and follows through with it. Casual is someone who plays the game to simply be entertained we dont care about what others think and we dont look at others gear and go I should be able to get that if I cant imma rage. Then you have those who want to be hardcore but cant for some reason (real life, lack of skill, dial up internet whatever) but want what a hardcore person has so they demand that the platform be lowered so they can get onto it. Thats not casual thats wanting to be hardcore being envious that you cant then whining, demanding the hardcore people get down off the platform and join them, then when it doesnt happen they all come sit and claim to be casual and say that the entirety of the casual player base feels like they do when really us who are truely casual rarely interact with the hardcore because simply put WE DONT CARE WE JUST WANT TO PLAY AND HAVE FUN and we want no interaction with the want to be hardcore people. THATS toxic. You can Tote me as hardcore all you like I took an EXTREMELY casual aproach to this game (this character wasnt even doing coil until like 2 weeks before CT came out) I played and had fun as much as I could but even with a relaxed aproach I finished the content I enjoyed. I dont ask that the game be catered to my whims I ask that ALL players see their needs met both casual hardcore and those in between its your camp that demand everything be catered to them and ONLY them. Its to hard ? Nerf it it takes time ? NERF IT. It takes effort ? NERF IT. thats all I hear on these forums if you really were casual you woudnt care about what others do or get you would log in have your bit of fun and log out, maybe come to the forums to offer some opinions here and there for improvement to your way of playing NOT to voice how others way of playing is somehow ruining your life. Progression of your character is secondary.
