3 has to do with view, i don't feel it gives it more value it just makes me have to get more items because instead of 1 being the best i need multiples for different situations.

4 items being sold is the same, weekly cap or not, it just comes down to if it's tradable or not.

5 this is also has to do with the individual player, plenty of players feel joy and accomplishment from getting items, while others don't.

in the end all you're saying is the gear is to bland and you wanna blame the weekly caps and lock outs.
1 and 3 have everything to do with value, just because you wanna have your easy mode 1 set of gear doesn't mean otherwise.

Maybe you're having trouble reading, because 2 has everything to do with how you obtain rare drops.

4, I have no idea what you're trying to say.

5, those players that feel joy and accomplishment are nowhere near the amount that don't feel it.

In the end, the gear is extremely bland, and the lack of rare drops, gear with unique stats, and the implementation of ilvl along with vertical progression is what I put the blame on.

easy mode 1 set? having multiple sets doesn't make something harder they are multiple sets to make it easier, oh look this boss does lightning damage lets put lightning resistant gear so it goes from doing alot of damage to none.

the way you obtain gear does not affect what the gear is, if a developer wants gear to have special stats it will have special stats.

it doesn't matter if there is a weekly cap like myths or lock outs like coil, or .001 drop rates like 11.

your second point is how you obtain rare gear but it doesn't guarantee if it will have special stats or not. like i said it's about the game not the way you get it.

4 is about loot. if it's untradable it won't help. doesn't matter if you're playing a game with 001% loot drops or a weekly cap or lock outs.

No its not killing the game. I don't want to pay to stand around for 3 hours hoping to get claim on some 24 hour spawn. Or sit there at a camp for 3 days to get a 72hour to 1 week spawn nm like in FFXI.

Instances is how the mmo genre evolved and it works well because you can play the game fight the bosses when you want without having to compete against a whole server of people for 1 monster spawn.

I wouldn't say instanced content is killing the game per se, but it along with the duty finder system is greatly trivializing the game world and maps that SE was so intent on remaking.

It's getting to the point where it feels like I'm playing PSU or PSO2 all over again. "Hey, you wanna run X a bunch of times and see if Y drops?"

Giving us beastmen dailies and treasure maps is a start, but I feel like a lot of stuff from 1.0 was needlessly taken out. What happened to things like:

    - hamlet defense, where crafters and gatherers could actually party up together, as well as help keep various items relevant to the in-game economy

    - the chocobo caravan escort missions that supplemented hamlet defense and provided an alternate way to earn GC seals

    - open dungeon areas like Shposhae, Mistbeard Cove, the old Nanawa and Copperbell Mines, etc. that had NM's and coffers you had to find keys for

    - behests every half hour at camps

    - exploring areas with Lv50+ hostile mobs for aetheryte nodes and "summoning the twelve," despite the areas themselves having little to no significance

    Other than that...

    - Remove claiming entirely when attacking monsters. I never saw the point of it; if someone helps you kill it, they should get a portion of the exp and a chance at item drops as well. All claiming does is inconvenience people when they're not the first to attack something, and gives the people who DID get claim a false sense of "I'm better than those guys because I'm faster at pressing buttons and/or less laggy."

    - Make NM's such as Odin and Behemoth spawn at a rate of about every few hours, so anyone can have a chance to encounter them regardless of when they're able to play the game. Make rewards such as mantles and horns a minimum of 1 just for participating, so that you're not wasting your time if you get there late. Also, put a daily lockout on each individual item so that players cannot farm them too quickly, but are still encouraged to work towards getting higher ratings so they can earn more of that item for that day.

    - In the event of too many people flooding an area due to a world NM or other reason, instances CAN be a good thing in the form of "overflow" servers, so that players participating in said event don't get bogged down, and players not participating can choose to go to the less populated instance of the area for smoother gameplay. This could also help with the frequent crashing that's been going on after Odin/Behemoth events.

Standing around waiting for tanks. The mmo genre has evolved, there is no more gear grinding and waiting for parties.

Yeah I love the folks who say they like instanced because they don't have to wait. I have literally waited hours in this game for a grp only to finally get in one and have folks leave or never move once in the instance. Yeah thats fuuun. But (@ Zumi) you will pay $15.99 to play 8 hours a month? yes I am LOLing at your logic.

There will always be a time constraints in MMO's but they can be fun. I would rather grind for that 1% drop rate then wait for hours to grp with people Idk and will never see again (It is not community friendly either). Either way its waiting but at least I'm doing something in the prior. Until there is an MMO that gives you a max char with full gear some folks will always be unhappy.Even then they still would be unhappy because nothing to do I don't get them. I am not one of them. I just prefer to be doing something other than waiting in a freaking que that I may never actually get into. Waiting on a que or 1% drop rate grind? hmmmm I will take the grind thx.
