This game is boring and so offensive, let's ragequit now!
idm instanced content, but you really gotta wonder why the hell ff14 open world exists. TRAGIC waste.
*waiting patiently to be sent forth to battle in the beautiful open world*

I wouldn't say instanced content is killing the game per se, but it along with the duty finder system is greatly trivializing the game world and maps that SE was so intent on remaking.
It's getting to the point where it feels like I'm playing PSU or PSO2 all over again. "Hey, you wanna run X a bunch of times and see if Y drops?"
Giving us beastmen dailies and treasure maps is a start, but I feel like a lot of stuff from 1.0 was needlessly taken out. What happened to things like:
- hamlet defense, where crafters and gatherers could actually party up together, as well as help keep various items relevant to the in-game economy
- the chocobo caravan escort missions that supplemented hamlet defense and provided an alternate way to earn GC seals
- open dungeon areas like Shposhae, Mistbeard Cove, the old Nanawa and Copperbell Mines, etc. that had NM's and coffers you had to find keys for
- behests every half hour at camps
- exploring areas with Lv50+ hostile mobs for aetheryte nodes and "summoning the twelve," despite the areas themselves having little to no significance
Other than that...
- Remove claiming entirely when attacking monsters. I never saw the point of it; if someone helps you kill it, they should get a portion of the exp and a chance at item drops as well. All claiming does is inconvenience people when they're not the first to attack something, and gives the people who DID get claim a false sense of "I'm better than those guys because I'm faster at pressing buttons and/or less laggy."
- Make NM's such as Odin and Behemoth spawn at a rate of about every few hours, so anyone can have a chance to encounter them regardless of when they're able to play the game. Make rewards such as mantles and horns a minimum of 1 just for participating, so that you're not wasting your time if you get there late. Also, put a daily lockout on each individual item so that players cannot farm them too quickly, but are still encouraged to work towards getting higher ratings so they can earn more of that item for that day.
- In the event of too many people flooding an area due to a world NM or other reason, instances CAN be a good thing in the form of "overflow" servers, so that players participating in said event don't get bogged down, and players not participating can choose to go to the less populated instance of the area for smoother gameplay. This could also help with the frequent crashing that's been going on after Odin/Behemoth events.

Yeah I love the folks who say they like instanced because they don't have to wait. I have literally waited hours in this game for a grp only to finally get in one and have folks leave or never move once in the instance. Yeah thats fuuun. But (@ Zumi) you will pay $15.99 to play 8 hours a month? yes I am LOLing at your logic.
There will always be a time constraints in MMO's but they can be fun. I would rather grind for that 1% drop rate then wait for hours to grp with people Idk and will never see again (It is not community friendly either). Either way its waiting but at least I'm doing something in the prior. Until there is an MMO that gives you a max char with full gear some folks will always be unhappy.Even then they still would be unhappy because nothing to do I don't get them. I am not one of them. I just prefer to be doing something other than waiting in a freaking que that I may never actually get into. Waiting on a que or 1% drop rate grind? hmmmm I will take the grind thx.
Then why are you here? The majority don't agree with you so go play FFXI if you want that sort of thing. Nobody is forcing you to stay here.Yeah I love the folks who say they like instanced because they don't have to wait. @ jrollins I got 5 days left then I wont be. I will probably go back to playing RPGs on console,More difficult and challenging with no downtime but please enjoy your empty white knighthood kingdom lol.

Wrong forum sowwyignore me!

Heres the deal I have been here since 2010 mainly because I like the franchise. DoH was fun, DoL was fun, Story is great. Dungeon stuff was/is not fun plain and simple. I maxed out all my DoL and DoH. I have all my DoM capped so all I have left is sitting in que or dailies. I have done all I considered fun in this game.
Party find is a joke because you can't get a grp if you are new to the fight, and I have been dropped a few times in regular duty finder just because of being new to a fight. That IS NOT fun for anyone unless you are mental.
I very rarely spend any time here on the forums as you can see by my post count. I am not here to defame the game just expressing my concerns before I hit the door. To paint me as some sort of uninformed jerk speaks more of some of you then it does me.I speak from years of personal MMO experience and can certainly see the ways MMOs have changed. Maybe its just time to get a new hobby. Theres always free GW2 if I get an MMO itch
@jrollins not mad bro, are you?
