I wouldn't call Copper Bell and Haukke Manor HM rehashes. They're almost entirely different dungeons. Different layout and different bosses. They only share a similarity to the original.
4 man dungeons are pretty much obsolete on arrival. Between CT and Coil, you'll get capped myth easily. The gear you can just skip to darklight.
I imagine if they put some really nice looking gear in there, that you'll have people farming it. I know that I'm strongly considering wasting time in Satasha-CM low level for foestriker and DD for Coliseum.
Server: Sargatanas || Main Job: Scholar || Chocobo: Bonchon
If anything this gamer need MORE 8+ content.
Well...they added Summoner in a patch but the summons in an expansion in XI, so that's not it - It's because they made the dumb decision to make most content in this game revolve around 4 man, so that heavily limits what kind of jobs can be added easily. 4 man has no room for a support unless they take away 1 dps, which can slow things WAY down in later levels.
If they switch the party setup to 6 man, 8/9 man or 15 man (1.0) sizes, they can add jobs much more easily because there will actually be "room" for it.
The HM dungeons in this game aren't like others. They didn't just up the difficulty and call it new content. In Haukke and Copperbell, they actually gave us new mechanics, new bosses, etc. I'm sure Halatali and Braflox will be the same. To be honest, they shouldn't have even called those HM dungeons. It should have been Return to Haukke Manor and Copperbell Quarry or something similar. Neither dungeon was the typical rehash that most MMOs do.
"When are we getting more 4 mans?"
"We're getting 3 next patch"
"That doesn't count!"
It seems the op is just determined to complain.
The present jobs mostly don't support a second job without considerable tweaking. MRD could easily be made a DPS (I'd argue that it is innately more suited to Dark Knight DPS than Warrior tank), and LNC could be made a tank with a few rewrites, but a lot of classes like GLA and CNJ simply don't support a second job without large, sweeping changes. Additionally, balancing everything takes a lot of work, and the cross-class abilities available aren't necessarily appropriate for some jobs.
I agree that I'd rather see second jobs sooner than later, but I also understand that it's really not as simple as just adding 5 abilities and a generic story and calling it a day.
reusing the assets from earlier dungeons lets them put out a lot more in the same amount of time. so it's get hard modes, which are quite different from normal modes, or get fewer dungeons overall.
