So they just announced Leviathan and it looks like it'll be strictly Hard and Extreme modes only. No four-man instance.

It'd be really nice to have some more stuff that I can actually do at level 50 with just the extremely small group of people I actually know, rather than being lumped with the Party/Duty Finder as my only option. Maybe I'm just spoiled, I don't know.

They stated 4 man content is the majority of this game's content so there wil be plenty. THANKFULLY they're leaving Primals to 8 man minimum, everything else like "hard dungeons" that aren't end-game will be 4 man. The 'small group' thing is why a lot of content tend to be throwaway, like Pharos and Hard Mode Dungeons since it's a lot of potential wasted being balanced for 4 man.

So there will be plenty more 4 man content, it just won't be primals and the like.

Coil 6-9..about it. Oh and "storyline extension", which is mostly talking to NPCs, slaying your usual 5 bores and point a-b "cutscenes".

It seems that even coil 6-9 would be rehash dungeon for you. I'm sure they are similar to Coil 1-5 like Copperbell Mine is similar to Copperbell Mine (Hard).

Well, the HM versions of Manor and Copperbell were in essence new dungeons. The layout is different, encounters are different, and the loot drops are different. It may be in the same location, but you call it "rehash" as though it's the like of Heroic Mode dungeons on WoW, and that's not at all the case.
