Personally, I'd rather you scrap the Armoury System then Lock 1 Job to 1 Weapon.

Once you hit Rank 50 on a Weapon Class.

Gladiator:

You can buy a Class Trait with Guild Points.

Gladiator: Use: Swords

Now you go play lancer.

Lancer:

You get lancer to rank 30 and unlock Dragoon.

Lancer: Dragoon.

You get enough AP to equip "Use: Swords"

Lancer: Dragoon: Use: Swords

Now Dragoon can equip Swords but is still considered a Lancer Dragoon.

Oh hey now they can equip shields too if they have "Use: Shields" from Sentinal.

For all other intents and purposes you play the Class like it was designed, but you get the illusion of using the weapon you want.

Conjurer: White Mage: Use: Swords
