I am one of the legacy players that is currently not happy with the game

I'm just going to clip this from a previous post because I seen many legacy players state this, especially when they bring up WoW Clone (Fun fact: Blizzard got to where they are today by taking the best aspects of other games/artwork/etc and implementing them to their games) but they are missing the point...

FFXIV was completely bombing in the legacy model, which is why we are in the ARR period. I tried to play it at launch and it was completely clunky and 'meh'. Yes, I know it vastly improved a year later to where people accepted legacy and yes, it was different.

HOWEVER, it was still going no where in terms of what they want it. The player community spoke, they listened, and implemented things and we got what we have now which a lot more players appreciated.

Does it suck this is how the market works now? Of course it does. I kinda wish I gave legacy a second chance before it went down, but I didn't. But the truth is in the numbers, SE was bombing for the longest time and I was among those who was playing a game of "How long until SE goes bankrupt like it nearly did with Spirits Within?" and I was expecting that ARR would be a flop, but I was actually happy with the turned product.

Don't get me wrong, it can be MUCH better still as any game and I hope they touch it up and go back on what they said on crafting always being below that of dungeons and the like- I hope they atually start making crafts better and harder, and hope we get more dungeons with interesting mechanics and gimicks, and I am hoping for the best.

However, XIV was failing under legacy is what I'm getting at, and it would be dead or on the backburner now at the very least if it wasn't for ARR.
