And I was so hoping someone would make an FFXIV version of that quitting wow video on youtube. Still want to see what Sad-quitting-FFXIV-roegadyn would have looked like...
That and seeing what was done to the Lufia II remake while under SE's watch (why would they undo the ending to the SNES version is still beyond me), I don't think it would be a good idea for FFVI and VII to be remade. We'd probably be given an actual "resurrect Aerith/General Leo" quest line, for starters...Technically XI already has, VII will never be remade thankfully lol, it was already an unfinished mess in the first place. There's a reason they're remaking every FF but the ones people actually want, i.e proper VI remake, proper V remake, IX remake (or just a damn PC port already) and I suppose VII.
As much as I love Chrono Trigger, SE shut down Chrono Resurrection and basically sat on the Chrono series since then. If you're gonna tell me that SE could not come up with anything for Chrono between 2004 and now, then I have a bridge to sell you.

* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
Remake vii!!!!!

Whiteknights are funny as usual. Article only says about successfully launch/financial success in 2013 and hopes that PS4 version sells well in 2014... current numbers of subs isn't mentioned.

But I thought Lightning was supposed to 'The Saviour'.

"Average random MMORPG" that has done something unprecedented with its remake, won multiple awards, and opened the doors to a bright future for it's playerbase. Apparently you missed the part where the current sales/subscriptions far SURPASSED what was deemed a success in Yoshi-P's numbers. Every game doesn't have to have Call of Duty numbers to be a success.Only 1.5 Millions ps3/pc combinated sales? i was hoping 4 - 5 millions as minimum is a Final Fantasy game.
After the Low Sales in FFXI, i was thinking Square enix learned Something in 10 years of experiencie. But It seems square enix lacks of knowledge in the MMRPG department.
1.5 Millions is a Great number for a "Average random MMRPG in the market". But For a Final Fantasy Game the sales are low
and have it on lock outs so they can milk more money...
Sorry to pop the bubble, but with 6month prepays, and all the mechanisms in the game specifically designed so that you can only accomplish 'x' amount of advancement per week, should not be praised because their tactics are working... Lets think about it for a second, if SE was so confident that they could maintain a player base with monthly subs only and let us progress at the rate we want, we would not have all the restrictions.
Also keep in mind, that as the game hits the 6 month mark, all those who were optimistic, prepaid 6 months and then canceled are about to roll off the books.
SE should celebrate after 1 year and see how many customers kept their sub for more then 1 or 2prepay cycles... without time scaled retention rates, all of this prepay gives false impressions to those who do not work in business...
