I swear...if one more person says that jumping is a standard MMO feature...I may just have to make a video explaining why it isn't and which very successful MMOs DON'T have jump....or swim...

I only saw one person mention it on pages 1-4, and then you freaked out lol.
Also, Demon's Souls is listed as Action-adventure, Role-playing game with Single-player, online multiplayer features. That isn't an MMO. That leaves two games, one that is nine years old and the other a free to play turn based game. Lol hello to them...? Your point?
Yes, Demon's Souls is LISTED as such, but it is still a MMO since MMO only stands for Massive Multiplayer Online and seeing as how Demon's Souls has that, it counts. For example: SC2 is a RTS, but it is still a MMO.
Atlantica, free to play and turned based (FF roots here), yes, but still very successful and one of the top rated MMOs on the market today.
FFXI may be 9 years old, but it still counts.
Want some more? Obviously we do because Evangela is still butthurt that the majority of players DON'T want jump in FFXIV.
Guild wars (no free jumping anyway)
Rohan,
Vindictus (voted second best F2P MMO of 2010, right behind LOTRO),
Rappelz (not on my list of good MMOs, but it still has quite a few players, despite the MANY flaws),
Lineage (There are actually people that hated that game because it didn't have jump, yet it still did very well),
Lineage 2
Quoted from the Lineage message board when someone complained about not having jump (when its not needed in the first place) "Go back to WoW."
Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
World of Warcraft
Aion
Perfect World
Forsaken World
Ether Saga Online
Jade Dynasty
Warhammer
Age of Conan
LOTRO
Rift
New MMOs coming WITH jump:
Star Wars: The Old Republic
TERA
Guild Wars 2
Blade and Soul
ArcheAge
Congratulations, for every MMO you list where you can't jump, someone can probably list two where you can. So please, don't even get me started. Funny, one of the companies that makes a few games you listed has no jump on their older titles, while their newer titles will have jump. Maybe that says something?
Oh, and SC2 isn't listed as an MMO either. It has online function's yes, but it is an online RTS. As for Demon's Souls, the (M) in (M)MO stands for massively, can you play with hundreds/thousands of players at once in that game? I'm not sure as I haven't ever played it, but I think not.
On a side note, while MMO does indeed stand for Massively Multi-player Online, most people that refer to them on these forums are probably shortening the term from MMORPG (Massively Multi-player Online Role Playing Game) and SC2 is not in that genre at all.

My point is that Jumping is not standard. Also, I can list MANY MMOs that do not have jump. I merely listed those that were incredibly successful. Out of your list, there are a few that failed (AoC, Rift, Warhammer, Aion *IMO*) and those that are already getting criticized (TERA). Again, my point is that jumping is not standard for MMOs and is not needed for them to be successful. There is currently 0 need for jump to be implemented into the game. There are no houses to jump onto, there are no bosses that require a skilled timed jump from platform to platform, there is none of that. I'm fine with jumping in MMOs (played PWI for a good 2 years, WoW for 3 weeks, LOTRO for a month, Aion for a couple of months, and I STILL play Allods and RoM), but it just does not fit in some MMOs (like Final Fantasy). And again, since some people are hard headed, MY POINT IS THAT JUMPING IS NOT STANDARD.

but that's the thing, only a handful of the 14 community wants jump added. Those that do want it added threaten to quit if they don't get it. To that I say "good." If you seriously quit because of a needless feature, then games are not a good hobby for you. Sure, I may have thrown some opinion in there, but Rift actually isn't as successful as it should have been and its all because of the cookie-cutter crap that's thrown in there to please the underage majority.
If you don't play PS3, you wouldn't know about Demon's Souls and if you don't play F2P MMOs, you wouldn't know about Atlantica.
Demon's Souls is a Console JRPG by Atlus. Won Game of the year, for some companies, and was nominated for many more in...2009? I think. It allows the player to recruit up to 2 other party members (Over PSN) to tackle the 6 levels (each with about 4 stages) in the game. Thus, its a MMO.
Atlantica is a turned-based F2P MMORPG released in 2008. Each player controls a team of people, each with it's own class (Minstrel, Cannonist, Gunner, etc). Battles are instanced, but a player may decide to use the aid of up to 2 other party members, each with their own team of fighters. Some of the awards for Atlantica:
"Best Fantasy MMORPG of 2009", MMOHut
"Best Free To Play Game of 2008", Ten Ton Hammer
"2008 Best New Game" Nomination, (voted 3rd), MMORPG.com
"Best Game", Korea Game Awards 2008
"Golden Plume Award for Best Foreign Online Game", China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference (ChinaJoy) 2008
"Most Innovative Online Game", GameOgre's 2008 Online Game Awards
"Top Free MMO of 2008", "Best Innovation in an MMO of 2008", "Best Gameplay in an MMO of 2008", Onrpg Member's Choice Awards 2008

It remains to be left to speculation what amount of players want jump. If you think that only a handful of players want jump, considering those that aren't playing, then only a handful wanted zones with variety, auto attack, classic jobs, chocobos, dungeons, etc. Lol. They still added them or will be adding them.
As long as we are listing the awards of Games with features we are talking about (or lack thereof), I'll list the awards of Warhammer (lol, yeah...)

Edit: And being able to invite two players to your game doesn't make it an MMO. As stated, the (M) in (M)MO stands for massively, 2 players doesn't seem all that massive.
