Here's my best guess on how this conversation went at SE HQ...

"A conversation between John Doe and Jane Doe"

    "Hey John"
    "Hey Jane"
"Did you see the memo about the lay down emote?"
    "Ya, pretty silly huh?"
"Ya...let's just scrap it. We have a couple other things to worry about."
    "Okay, just scrap it?"
"Yes. Release a pa stating we just don't see the need for developing content that can be used in a provocative way. It's not like they won't do it anyway lol."
    "Lol. I'll get on it."

    .........2 days later.......

"Holy crap! Did you see that thread in the lodestone?"

    EDIT: And also...

    Nope.

    Here's another fact:

Animal rights are more important than the rights of match box cars.

Making unrelated, nonsensical statements does not actually constitute a valid argument. "Match box cars" are inanimate objects and do not have rights.

Even if I were posting in this thread to the exclusion of all others (which, as I already pointed out, I am not, nor are the majority, if not all, of the other posters here - this alone negates your entire argument, as it is based off the premise that we are ignoring other issues), your opinion that this issue doesn't matter would still be precisely that: an opinion. As a roleplayer, the emote system is of huge significance to me, as I make use of it regularly to engage immersion during scenes. Being unable to access a simply laying down emote because of a completely arbitrary and nonsense excuse is not something I am going to just passively accept.
