I honestly wouldn't be arguing with these blinded fanboys that keep making up excuses for SE on how unacceptably slow they been adding anything. I honestly wouldn't waste my breath they are the laughing stock for anyone that plays and enjoys many MMOs in their time.

Alternatively, "fanboys" shouldn't waste their time arguing with people like you who play a game they hate and whine all day on the forums as if someone is forcing you to play this awful game. I don't think Square's fail is acceptable at all but if you're not willing to be patient, then leave. The devs need constructive, valuable feedback they can use, not whining about how slow patches are or demanding specific dates and details for every little thing to come in the next six months.

Patient ????? It's been 9 freaking months that's not being patient that's being mind controlled to have that much patience when you see low budget garbage mmo companies turning out more content than a huge , giant company like SE.

That's all the devs got were constructive feedback hell even in freaking alpha they got feedback they chose to ignore or give us vague answers like " we will look into it". That's suppose to be acceptable for a supposed Huuuge company and name brand like the Final Fantasy series who is in dire , desperate, alarming need to fix a broken game is 9 months of nothing but minor additions? This doesn't alarm you make you concerned at all???

I won't even mention how long the game was under development and it still lacks all the basics from an old ps2 MMO they made in the past.

That is my exact reason I don't bother with mindless zombies you have nothing to retort but strawman arguments.

LOL I remember when Tanaka got pissed off at the people who were speculating what the fatigue system was and he tweeted about how its not what people think and that it was something else and blah blah. At the time he was thinking that people wont enjoy the game or even buy it if they have a false perception of it, what came next must have hit him hard.

But he makes a point, SE should have a lot more resources on hand to give this game a boost but they're just greedy bastards. I know that eventually production rate reaches an asymptote but I doubt SE is anywhere near that with FFXIV.

Harrharrharr... enlighten us, mister developer-in-chief! My knowledge may be less theoretical, but my empirical observation tells me: The whole world, including small-scale indie studios have

- better communication with their customers
- shorter development times for more features
- less stalwart braindead fanboys ('cept for Start Trek online, perhaps)

than SE,

or

already have died off.

Ah the fatigue system.... I mean how in the world a company with some great masterpieces under their belt would even allow for such a thing baffles me. Tanaka reminded me of a crackhead that was ashamed that he smokes crack. He knew having the fatigue system was such a stupid thing to have but chose to keep it in anyways.

Like I said, the only reason why you'd think so is if you don't understand game development, and especially SE's current game development.

This tells us nothing about the quality of changes, or the scope. They might be insufficient and completely lackluster in relation to the time spent on them- in fact, I think that will most likely end up being the case.

Yet that still doesn't make my point any less valid. The pacing of patches is in no way an indicator of their progress. They could have shut the servers down for a year and released huge overhauls and tons of changes all at once- and they would still have made just as much progress as if the servers were up and they implemented the same patches little by little during the year.

How you can twist these facts into me being a fanboy is fascinating. I'm not saying the changes will be good or even enough- I'm predicting the opposite. What a fanboy I am indeed.

But it's convenient card to use when your argument sucks. Or when you simply don't understand what you're reading.
