Materia + catalysts! Keep them Disciple of the Land only!

With the mention of them being "obtained through gathering" I am sure hoping this means gathering classes, botony, mining, fishing, and NOT just any old farming.

So like this if you are for keeping these among the 3 classes who will give them even more of a purpose/role with this upcoming system.


Please dont let those deaspected crystals be the catalyst!

Either way, unless exquisite attention to protecting the economic interests of gatherers is paid we're ****ed. 99% of all gathered materials are already over-produced. This will triple the degree of that universal problem unless they take drastic measures to think about what they're about to do.

The botcrafters will just LOVE it though.

Deaspected Crystals have to do with the Seventh Umbral Era as they were mentioned in the letter about the signs of the new era.

Also, they appeared way before Yoshida even mentioned the Materia system + they probably barely knocked out the specifics of the system this past week.

well far as what they said,

people create materia by forming affection for an item

get some cataylysts that gathers will get

and bring it to a crafter to craft into the item, no chance of fail

so it looks like that part of the process will be gatherer exclusive, i think the idea is that all classes have some level of power in the materia junctioning process

I wanted it to be disciple of land specific as well, and also class specific. Different ones obtainable from fishing than from botany for example.

Failed logic has failed. There is alleady equipment available from monster drops, materia wont be any different.
