Because as far as I can tell, we are surrounded by people who can't think of anything to do on their own. They only react to the sound of loot hitting the floor. And when they hear loot on the floor, they rush towards it and intend on consuming it regardless of what they have to pass through to get it. When they are out of loot, they go back to idle mode and just moan and stay in place. Oh, and constantly make threads about how they have nothing to do, can't forget that part.

Play the game one week with another goal than getting loot. I challenge you all to do this, because I know none of you will and I can count myself a default win in this discussion.
They're trumpeting the vanity system that's coming with 2.2, however in order to acquire all the gear from CT for all your jobs it'll take a lot longer than the 3 month window between patch 2.1 and 2.2 is going to make it extremely tiresome for people like me who like to collect the armor for the appearance (not the stats)
