    Crystal Tower Loot Lock Out how long?

    Q: Will progress be recorded in the Crystal Tower the same way as in the Binding Coil?

    A: Progress will not be recorded. However, we'll be updating the Crystal Tower every other patch just like the Binding Coil of Bahamut, and you'll need to clear the Labyrinth of the Ancients that is to be implemented in patch 2.1 in order to take on the next phase in patch 2.3. The areas we implement in patch 2.1 will not have mid-way progress points, so you'll be able to challenge this dungeon without restriction. However, there is a limitation when it comes to receiving gear drops, and once you cast lots and obtain an item, your rights to lot gear will be lost. Once the timer for lotting resets you'll be able to lot on drops again.

    How long is the reset timer?

    I planned on playing multiple jobs for Crystal Tower since it wasn't going to have a weekly lock out after you finish it. If the Reset is more than 12hrs its going to be crap.

    Also I don't see why there should be any Lock Out on looting, The gear is ilvl80 so why should there be a lock out?

    If the Lock Out is an hour or you can only lot once per run that's fine with me.

    This can't happen to CoB as of now (when Turn6+ happen it can). People would sell the best gear in the Game so I see why there is a weekly lock out as for CT gear its ilvl80 there is no need for a lock out for more than an hour or per run.

    Obviously since that newsletter was the first we've heard of it, nobody knows. It hasn't been stated yet.

    I also LOL that people are already complaining. So many times I've heard people complaining about coil since they can't 'help FC members run it', and claiming they 'don't even need gear drops', they just want to help. And people are already complaining that they can run it as much as they want but have a lock out on gear for x amount of time.

    I understand the need for gear lock out. Full i80 should be able to take down Twintania from what I've read. It's a artificial game barrier (like myth cap) that I can understand. They don't want everyone with gear that can take down Twintania (in theory, you still need to not be derpy) after one day of dungeon spamming. We should all just be happy there isn't a lock out on the dungeon itself.

    This is why we can't have nice things.

    Looks like another content stall tactic. Without it, I suppose people would spam it and get all the gear in 48 hours and then have to wait months until the vanity slot utility to even use it, since they would already have 90 gear most likely.

    See, this is what I want to happen to Coil...let us keep running it, but lock out loot once we get something in a Turn.

    What do you think the likelihood of a hour lock out will be based on the what has already been released? Just curious.

    SE is looking at a much larger picture on gear saturation on each server than the vocal group here on the forums. Most of us here want thing now, now, now. I don't quite understand the highly aggravated comments I see here sometimes though. I get the, "Hey listen to me because I'm important and I have to share my dissatisfaction!" What irks me is the Nostradamus predictions of content will be crap before it is even released.

    There is content currently in the game that I'm not a big fan of, I personally just don't do that content. /shrug

    I'm 3 pieces from all ilvl90 so I could care less if a group of full ilvl80s could take down T5, When people with ilvl70 have been doing it. It would be nice to help others with CoB but I know the reason why SE wont put a lotting lock out on coils is because people would sell gear and then everyone would be in ilvl90 in no time.

    I'm only complaining if the lock out is going to be to long. I have nothing to do in the game I log in a few hours a week do coils/cap myth and done. But I decided a few weeks ago that I would slowly level all jobs to 50, Then I would be able to do CT with all jobs and gear them out in ilvl80 to hold me over until 2.2 comes out next year.
    But if the lock out is going to be 12hrs+ then looks like I wont be playing the game as long as I'd like to.

    The lock out stuff is so people just dont breeze over the little content there is. For some of us the Game is a Monday only game which sucks. And the trolls for this are gonna be horrible. people are just gonna leave the duty once they get what they need.

    Crystal Tower has a 2 hour time limit per run. Wouldn't expect the looting lockout to last longer than that.

    I say this because I vaguely recall hearing that players will probably receive one piece of loot per run.

    This! If the lock out is more than an 1-2 Hours then Crystal Tower will FAIL! IDK how the dungeons are ran yet but I'm pretty sure there will be gear otw to the end. A lot of people will come in get the gear they need/want if they win and leave.
