I've listed all of the content in the game and why/why not it's fun or not. I played UO, FFXI, Rift and WoW for 8years, never once complained about content. That has nothing to do with anything.... you'd still complain about lack of content by the sound of it. The real answer to the question I asked it seems is, you just want more dungeons to burn through asap. That doesn't sound like the game lacks more content. This sounds more like an issue of whiny players.
Uh huh.... which is why I know you are BSing.. because i've 'also' played those games for 8 years... and when they first came out, they were pretty much the same thing. Dungeons, quest leveling, 'one' raid... pvp. If not, then go ahead... list something 'different' that they had more of. I'm curious as to what it is you think they had as extra content.
shouldn't you go back? I mean it's like 4 months until 2.2 comes out, why not play something else in the meantime? or your boredom isn't hard enough to quit?
something is not right if you don't quit
This games story is the worst out of all the FF's I've played.
I'm not saying it's horrible but it's not that good at all in comparisons. It gets good when you're 40+.
[The whole Scion business, no spoilers.] It's sad that the ball finally gets rolling around that time.
And I admit, I had a lot of fun in my 40's.
Hi Raelton, I'm Molly. Nice to meet you.
I don't do coil as my main class unless one of our tanks is unavailable. I run Coil as whatever our group needs. As such, I basically main 5 classes. This is what the armory system was designed for. Nevermind myth tomes, do you know how many philo tomes it takes to full gear out WAR, PLD, WHM, BLM, and DRG with DL and relics? (Not to mention helping my [125 man] LS and FC with story and relic quests as well as primal fights.) Yeah, I'm not done yet, and I play somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 hours a week.
But please go on, tell me how there is nothing to do. I for one, am constantly busy in-game.
Why bother posting just to reiterate your initial point?
It's fun to play other classes. My main is a tank but sometimes I'd like to be a DPS instead. The roles in combat are really different, the experience is different. How hard is that to understand? There's 0 reason to level another class.
Serious question: why do you play this game, at all? You clearly get zero enjoyment out of any content and are focused only on things you have a 'reason' to do. You don't want to do any other content, because it doesn't 'progress' your character at all. What do you think exists at the end, for when you've 'progressed' to the top? Are you really so blind that you can't see the treadmill you're on?
Frankly, I'll go ahead and say it: the casuals (including me) have a superior mindset than yours. We get more enjoyment out of the same product, the game will last much longer, and there's apparently a lot less feeling butthurt all the time. Every one of you 'hardcore progression' types could quit, and I wouldn't care even a little, as I've never seen a whinier group of children in any game I've ever played.
So what you're saying is, this thread is still on the front page because it's an argument over what 'fun content' is, and since that ultimately boils down to personal preference and has no all-encompassing answer, this thread will go on forever until the next buzz-worthy opinion-as-fact thread pops up.

Limsa Lominsa keep your pirates, and your ships covered in musty mold.
My loyalty lies with Gridania, with the Moogles and the tree spirits of old." -The Forky Conjurer
All of those games (excluding Rift) were the first or close to first games of their time. There was no standard they had to live up to or compete against, that's why they were popular. Rift had a lot of content, a fuck ton actually in comparison to FFXIV. If that isn't obvious then you havn't played the game.Uh huh.... which is why I know you are BSing.. because i've 'also' played those games for 8 years... and when they first came out, they were pretty much the same thing. Ok. But... what was this content you were talking about? You know, aside from questing, dungeons, leveling, (Rift being the game that introduced Fates) and PVP. What is the other content you're trying to tell others these games had?All of those games (excluding Rift) were the first or close to first games of their time.
