    Uh huh.... which is why I know you are BSing.. because i've 'also' played those games for 8 years... and when they first came out, they were pretty much the same thing. Dungeons, quest leveling, 'one' raid... pvp. If not, then go ahead... list something 'different' that they had more of. I'm curious as to what it is you think they had as extra content.

    All of those games (excluding Rift) were the first or close to first games of their time. There was no standard they had to live up to or compete against, that's why they were popular. Rift had a lot of content, a fuck ton actually in comparison to FFXIV. If that isn't obvious then you havn't played the game.

    Ok. But... what was this content you were talking about? You know, aside from questing, dungeons, leveling, (Rift being the game that introduced Fates) and PVP. What is the other content you're trying to tell others these games had?

    Dungeons, there was pretty much the same amount of leveling dungeons and when you hit max every dungeon had a level 50 version and there were 2 tiers of 50 dungeons to progress through. Also there were achievements for every boss and multiple achievements for each boss, giving all of the dungeons a lot of replay value.

    There was PVP... period.

    As far as leveling, once you finished your first class, you could actually start another one and either do quests again or Rifts or dungeons. You weren't stuck just grinding FATES or doing dungeons that took 20times longer.

    And I kind of already mentioned achievements, but they actually had interesting acheivements. Puzzles in the world, artifacts, etc... Achievements that weren't completely linear.

    I never said that I thought there should be different things then the traditional MMO, but there should definitely be more things to do.

    And yet I can use the same gear on the monk as the archer. I'm not starting from scratch. You think Rift dungeons were good, they were TERRIBLE. You don't have to fate grind to level alts. Fate-gridning doesn't get you gear. So you fate-grind 20 levels-only to realize you don't have any gear, so you have to buy gear from those crafters again. I'm personally making a lot off these people.

    You know what you need? Some lowbie friends. I grind my alts helping my friends who can't spend as much time playing this as I can. It keeps me very busy and happy.

    I'm sorry. My mistake. I didn't see this post of yours. So aside from PVP... there wasn't really much anything different? And The rifts were pretty much just fates, which you said you are tired of anyways. And the fact that you said in this game it takes 20times longer, makes it sound like you hit the wall much faster in that game than you did in this one. At least if I understand what you meant by that comment is correct.

    Dude, you can't expect an emotional argument (which is what they are putting forward) to be backed up by actual, yaknow, examples or logic. It's not the point of what they are doing.

    This is simply BS. I have played most of the other recent releases of MMOs, I can't think of any of the recent releases who had MORE content than ARR does (with one exception). TOR certainly didn't, there wasn't a damn thing to do at endgame and crafting was/is a joke. Neverwinter? TERA? RIFT?

    The only one I'll grant ya on is TSW, a great game that unfortunately goes mostly ignored by the MMO crowd these days.

    Imo, TERA did have a bit more content at it's launch. At the very least for my play style it did, but it's hard to say. This game didn't launch with any vanity options nor any PvP. You'd be amazed how much time people can spend on those alone.

    Personally, I dislike the current craft system we have in place, so that's wasted content for me. This game has so much emphasis on crafting though. Much more than I would like, but that's my preference. It's great for people into that sort of thing I guess.

    I currently enjoy playing only 1 of the battle classes in this game, and everything else I'm impartial to at best. The rest I simply loathe playing. I'm hoping more iconic classes that I favor like THF, DRK, or even RDM get added. So that system is whatever currently for me. It's wonderful for people that love all the battle classes. I wouldn't mind it as much, but with given how fast you lvl even without rushing...

    It's hard to place an accurate measure on the amount of content when a lot of it doesn't really agree with your playstyle. So, like I said it's really hard to say.
