paying for entertainment you don't enjoy, is that like masochism? self hatred?

Just throwing two of Gath's gil here. This is probably already responded to in this thread.
I think the game has more content than a single player game (where the former, we may be in and out of the game in 50 hours).
There are aspects that I love about this game and still look forward to my sessions within the game.
But like anything, if I start to get bored / tired of one activity over again, it's time to switch it up. It might be inefficient in the get-to-the-top-and-clear-the-hardest-dungeon-available plan. But it helps me keep the game alive longer.
And if it happens to be that you've reached this burnout / boredom point, I might recommend checking back in for only the major patches, but still maintaining your social connections so that you can jump back into the game with folks you know and enjoy the patch together. Then move on to the next thing yous all like to do together, even if it doesn't happen to be FFXIV that month.

You know what the only real problem is I seem to find? That there is a 1k character limit on the forums. Makes replying to people just.. useless.
TL.DR - Plenty to do, you simply choose not to do it. Usually because it's not -optimal-, which ironically is also things that make you not optimal anyways.
Some people dont like to play other classes... some people dont like to craft.... leveling other classes and crafting isn't really content. Its just the same thing... no wait.. its LESS than they did the first time. First time they at least had the story to keep them company. Second is just a fate spam, btw.. the fate spams are causing issues... such as people not learning to play their job.You know what the only real problem is I seem to find? Problem is those who come in these forums saying there isn't enough is like somebody going to a buffet and only eating only one or two items and then complaining there isn't enough food options. As has been stated before people seem to confuse opinion with fact

That's cool and all. that doesn't meant there's not content. It also means there's more, it is fundamentally impossible for something in addition to what you have done to result in LESS. PS - I leveled the entirity of PLD and am 38 WHM and have only participated in fates for at most a level or two. It's entirely by choice. Some people dont like to play other classes... some people dont like to craft.... leveling other classes and crafting isn't really content. Also - if you can tell me why the pladin order is the way it is, as well as to what the opinion is from thaurmages on the status of black mages. then cool. If you can't, there's still story, and still content, out there. Just takes effort. And fun <3

Like i said, replying to people on this forum is just about the worst mistake the game has, IMO, lol

You may do that, but we'll let the progression raiders be the judge of whether my argument holds more weight or his, considering that's what the launch content in question regards.

And this is the part that really makes me laugh, because if there's one group who nobody cares about their opinions, it's the 'progression raiders!' Games shouldn't be made with them in mind, because they are for the most part a fickle and angry group, apt to jump ship and unsub at any moment, who skip most of your hard work and piss on the rest of your content as being 'boring.' Anything that doesn't 'progress' them along a very narrow definition? 'Boring.'
