Wot? There's no way in hell that a Scholar will have 25% less Mind/Int than a White Mage assuming equal gear. Their base Mind would be identical if WHM didn't have the 12 extra from traits. That's hardly enough to sit 25% above a Scholar. -_-

Why should they fix it? Both classes are fine the way they are. Some things may not make much sence. But they are fine. This is like a discussion who´s hotter - Hale Berry or Marilyn Monroe.

I don't think you understood what I wrote. SCH is getting an INT Trait. They did not make specific traits based off on if you went SCH or SMN, they flat out put in INT traits.

I got that. And as I wrote some things don´t make sence. But giving him mind would mean you got to tune down his heals again. And adjust clerics stance becourse his dps would be close summoners including the pet. This would mean you would have to buff whitemages dps skills course he would suffer from a nerfed CS. Or you just leave it they way it is now. It makes no sence the sch gets int but it is correctly tuned compared to other classes.

Oh my goodness you all, the stat traits barely make a difference. If you notice, it's the 30% boost to damage and heals from the traits (on both classes) that makes the difference....

a cleric stanced whm will have roughly 25% more int then a cleric stance sch, and while both potency are about equal, sch can't push it because they are dots, while a whm can spam on burst. Whm is by far the better damage dealer, anyone burning walls will tell you that.

How is 12 25% of 450? Healers Have around 450 mnd... WHMs get 12 more from traits ....So in cleric stance, from my math that is right around 2.6% more int, hardly 25%.

And sch gets 5 dots (Bio + Bio2 + miasma + shadow flare + aero )+ ruin II + Energy Drain spam... So for the short duration of the fight on demon wall a sch can do about 9 energy drains (if you have 3 pre-loaded before fight) So 5 dots + 9 global cd's of Energy Drain + ruin II (ruin II + energy drain is 230 potency per global) I think sch can do a fair job of holding their own damage wise.

Sch also have miasma II DoT but it is only 70 potency for a single target so not worth the global cd. All the other dots have a potency of 200+ per global CD (aero being the lowest at 200, and bio II being highest at 350)

all the WHM dots are 210 potency or less and stone II is only 170 potency - so how do you figure WHM has the edge on damage?.

Just my 2 cents:

Presence of Mind = worst buff ever. 5 min recast for 10 seconds of spell speed boost.
Cure 3 = Useless. Too much MP, too little effective radius

Divine Seal, on the other hand, priceless with Medica/Medica 2

MP Regen for Shroud of Saints is also off the chain.

While I love my SCH breathern I do not agree with the OP at all. Scholars are the ying to my yang, we need each other. My healing partner in coil is always a scholar. But he simply cannot keep the tanks up in turn 4. Those guys are getting rocked, and his little physick heals just wont cut it. But I dont have the time to keep the tank up and watch 6 other people in raids. I need them as much as they need me. You should play what healing job you like best, but one is not better than the other, and they never will be.

Little physick heal? Rather it should be adlo+embrace and physick+embrace when shield is up, plus dmg mitiation from soil, virus etc. in turn 4. If your sch friend is having more trouble than you keeping a tank up with two dreadnaughts or whatever you are fighting, its a problem with your friend.

SCH gear gives MND, so that wouldn't work
