Yeah, I really hope that Absolute Virtue is not the model for what they think "hard" boss fights are.FFXI was almost always a case of "Yeah we tell you shit when we want too" and almost always just dropped all sorts of stuff on us in updates. "Oh yeah we added ____ figgure it out yourself though" Jesus remember how long they flat out teased the game with how stupidly hard Absolute virtue was that we had to resort to glitching the game just to kill him.
Then they patched the glitch out lol, and were like. There IS a way...find it! Here is a obscure video to help! "Didn't help"
"Guess-and-check" does not a good gameplay strategy make.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
