I think to them and to us it is better to *** about vague info/timeframes than them posting false information all the time.
If you can avoid both, I'd like to hear where you buy your crystal balls from.

I asked for content, the battle system was workable. If the new system is wack i will blame SE AND all the people who thought auto attack was god.
But honestly, i dont think that many people will complain, Its prolly going to be simpler and less involved. Even after all this time many people dont excel at the current battle system, maybe complexity involvement and direct control, are not what most players want.
I just hope they dont completely ax or nerf basic attacks, pug without light strike, heavy strike, flurry and pummel is not going to be great.
None of us knows how this new system will work. we do know that it "includes" auto-attack, but then again, they haven't been working on it for 6 months just on auto-attack, there are balancing, stats, and abilities being re-worked. There is most likely more involvement in this system than the one we have now, since we can' really communicate or plan anything out while we are in combat. Its a button mash free-for-all, even if you are using every ability to your disposal, there is no planning or tactics being used party-wise. This game only implies that you use tactics for soloing as it currently stands.I asked for content, the battle system was workable. Trust me you'd have to be a moron not to "excel" at the current battle system, there is nothing "involved" unless you're soloing something tougher than you. In party play, which is the reason for the overhaul to begin with, you didn't need to tank, hardly needed to heal, you just bashed the monster's face in whether you were a Gladiator or a Thaumaturge and everyone in between.I asked for content, the battle system was workable. It's ok then for us to complain at SE for making a poor game upon release. Yet it's not ok for us to be blamed when we ask for something and SE delivers, but we still don't like it?
If I buy a house and the developer builds it to MY specifications, move in and realize it sucks because I don't like it ... I can't call the developer up and say, 'rebuild my house because I don't like it.' The ONLY way this would fly is if I re-paid the developer to do it a second time.
Basically if a product is built to your request, and you still don't like it, you can't blame it's producer.
Physic, you most certainly should blame those who wanted a new system if it does turn out to be sub-par.

Hopefully Bayohne comes bearing gifts before the weekend.
Except that past "remake the battle system" we didn't give SE any specifications. If it fails as a battle system yet again, this would make it SE's third try to get it right for this game and they would be to blame. I'll be honest with everyone here and I'm sure other's are in the same position I'm in, if this battle system and content don't do it for me I'm taking a hike and probably never looking back.If I buy a house and the developer builds it to MY specifications, move in and realize it sucks because I don't like it ... This, and those raptors are sick and tired of it!
EDIT: Also, some of you guys ought to go back and take a look at the players polls. Handy info to go off of before you ask anybody where they are pulling their info from.

the jp post suggests a lot more on combat, they are removing stamina, and going to make TP and Recasts the main means of controlling limiting your actions. This alone, will be a huge change in the strategy and style of play, in that there will be less personal strategy. It also implies a lot of other things, but just that bit of info alone tells me a lot about the system thats coming, and what potentials it has.
