Given the structural similarity between the two consoles, porting would be about the easiest thing to do.
Personally, cant wait till we get Steam OS and i can finally do away with Windows and be rid of Microsoft entirely XD
Yeah, FF14 on the Xbone? Aint gonna happen...
When you need to pay a Xbox Live subscribtion, in order to play F2P games (World of tanks), thats just redunculus.
They didn't change the rules for XI they changed the rules after XI and that is why you will never ever see any mmo or game that is cross platform play on a microsoft platform . Even sony and nintendo are happy to share servers on other games soon to be released by indy developers. I'd like to see XIV on the one even if i don't intend to buy it only because it means more people to play with but alas microsoft are far too greedy to allow it.
Much as I hate the MS and their Xbone, if I were SE, I wouldve done it anyway. All these arguments about splitting the community ... yeah, Xboners wont be able to join us on the regular servers, as oppsed to not playing at all? Seems to me the only difference will be the fact that Xbone player wont be supporting the game.
My guess is this has nothing to do with MS policies and more that they dont expect many Xbone owners to buy the game at all, leaving empty servers for Xbone. Thats not good PR for the game which they may need to shut it down anyway (xbox servers). /shrug ... Did XI sell well on the 360?

As far as I'm concerned, KH3 and FFXV should be removed from XB1 anyway - the JRPG crowd is mostly spread across Nintendo and Sony to begin with. The fact that MS is being total dicks about their online policy just adds more fuel to the fire.

Why do you even want to buy an Xbox One?

Actually... they did change the rules just for XI. Before XI was released on the 360 there was another MMO that could have been cross-platform... but wasn't. PSO. It was on the original X-Box, granted, but it had all the hallmarks. Separate multiplayer servers and two fees (one for the game itself, another for Live service). On the 360 was another cross-platform MMO, PSU. Again, it had separate servers and had it's own fee and Live's fee. Sega had segregated the servers into East and West to protect Japanese players from us cheating bastard US players, but couldn't do that with the 360 version because of Microsoft. Microsoft bent over for XI because it was a bigger, older title and Square was a bigger company than Sega. Microsoft tried to get Square to tow the Microsoft line but Square fired back, "My way or the highway."They didn't change the rules for XI they changed the rules after XI and that is why you will never ever see any mmo or game that is cross platform play on a microsoft platform . I still don't understand why an informed consumer would want to buy an Xbox One. It's not that MS might snoop on you while you're not playing games. Microsoft has actually patented methods to do so. Examples: awarding achievements if you watch commercials (link), restricting number of viewers and by age of viewer (link), and even detecting your mood and deciding which ads to show you (link).
Microsoft is also a US company, and as detailed recently, the NSA already regularly monitors unencrypted intranet data inside big corporations such as Google and Yahoo.
