I personally would hope that SE doesn't release the game for Xbone seeing as how Microsoft is being so anticompetitive and wanting it's completely enclosed ecosystem I think the market would be better without them in it. The already showed that they don't care of the gaming industry as a whole and only care for the money coming into their pockets when they first revealed the Xbone. It went over so bad and left such an outcry at their marketing plan that they had to change it cause their investors knew people wouldn't buy it and it wouldn't sell. Then they changed it but only enough to hopefully bring back some of the more none thinking gaming crowd to use their system. So unless the Xbone is close to being a flop they won't change things and they will just ignore what their customers want. So like I said we're better off without them.
Phil Spencer said in one interview that cross-platform multiplayer "makes a lot of sense". So we still can hope that MS will bring FFXIV to Xbox One. I'm sure SE can easyly port it.
And don't forget that the Xbox one won't be released in Japan anytime soon.
It'll never happen unless Microsoft changes their minds on having their own servers for the game.
No offence Xboxers but from the community I've encountered.... I would not care to share this game with you. Besides there is only so many ways you can possibly combine the name yolohashtag420noscope.
They don't want more baka gaijins playing their game. Plain and simple.
