how come there isn't costume slot/able to change gear appearance using other gear?

how come there isn't a costume slot or the ability to use gear as fodder to change the appearance of the gear im using? everyone looks the same in the endgame... want at least make the lightning event costumes able to transmute into main gear to have the appearance but have the stats of the gear im using...something that every mmo have not include in this game? =.=ll

or make make a costume slot for all gear when equipping gear ask if want wear as costume/as combat so can wear gear u like for looks as costume slot and while wearing real combat gear under the costume.....

What you're talking about is a vanity system. People have been complaining about the lack of it since release, and SE has said that it's coming, but won't make it in time for 2.1

Do a search of the boards for "vanity" if you want more info~

While it's a funny reason to not play.
This game really is horrible with it's armor.
One of the worst design's I ever seen. We can all laugh and praise how the
Subligar is, but it's really stupid, so is the Cult-esque robes...
Some things that should be in this game already, is not.
And we all generally look the same from lack of customization.
Yeah, it won't make it to 2.1....wait for 2.2.
