My guess is no, as the mere presence of the maint. is what people are ultimately whining about, no matter what reason is given, people would just find other excuse to whine about it some more.

Wrong. If you had bothered to actually read every post of mine rather than just jumping to conclusions from one, you would know a reason or an explanation is all I want. Make your wisecracks about hamsters and stuff, but if they just gave some sort of explanation, even if a vague one, it would be better than nothing.

Everyone can cry and white knight SE all they want. If you never question anything that happens in life, good for you, must be a nice simple existence. If I want to know something, I'll ask.

I question them because I want to. You're absolutely right, I don't need to question them. The exact same way you didn't need to question me. I'm not sure if you meant the intelligence and curiosity part, or were being sarcastic. However if you meant it, you seem bright enough that I could say the same about you intelligence wise. So has your experience speaking to me given you anything useful? I highly doubt it. Has my replying to you enriched my own life? No, not really. Being inquisitive and curious is just human nature.
