By playing the game, you agree to the License Agreement. It's stated on there that they have to provide no such information.
Don't like it? Don't play.
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post1530837Seriously back off
Yes I am paying them to have a service provided and apparently having even a small notice telling my why its unavailable is what, too difficult for them to provide?
Were talking about SE here, let's pretend like they have ever had good a customer first attitude, because they haven't.

See, you did it again. You're just exaggerating and making stuff up.My argument was that Tegan wanted to know what the maintenance was for. Square has no responsibility to let her or even myself know every little thing that they are doing. The example was meant that Square like KFC is a private business where they don't have to let you know anything if they don't want to. If that is too hard to understand I'm sorry, your comparison was a reach.
Fine, I said SE should tell me everything ever and that they in fact should let me run the company. It should also be called Final Tegan: A Tegan Tegan. Yep, that's what I said.
Don't worry wont be long before nobody is playinghttp://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post1530837

like you said they don't HVAE to so they don't.
aka good customer service
The battle cry of the elitist.
No, they don't have any obligation to tell us. But they still could. They don't have any obligation to give us any other information they do on here, but they still do.
There is nothing wrong with requesting that they maybe consider sometimes letting us know why there is maintenance.
they are giving you information telling that maintenance is being done, but ok. you win. Square does suck though, FFXI didnt last that long either, did it?Seriously back off

I'm saying this as someone who can apparently read a License Agreement...not as an elitist. Calm down. The battle cry of the elitist.

It states at the very top:
The following License Agreement is a binding, legal agreement between SQUARE ENIX® and you and governs your use of the Licensed Software. If at any time you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, you must immediately cease using the Licensed Software.
You do not agree with their terms, so you can leave at any point. By continuing to subscribe to this game, you are telling Square-Enix that you agree to everything listed on that page. Yes, they could do things differently, but they won't, so stop expecting them to.

I know what it says too. My point being is that they already go beyond that by making any contact with us at all. Sometimes they do give bits of information about maintenance, or address issues raised on here.
Just because someone doesn't have to do something, it doesn't mean they won't. And despite what you and the other excitable people are saying, there really is no harm in asking.

-Shrugs; Oh well, let's keep on having this "broken game"
Which RMT's and Bots and shit lag rule the world and never to be fixed.
Nothing wrong with giving us a lil' info. Nothing at all, but shh, don't say nothing.
Defenders on a grand hunt for all who oppose and question SE.
