I just wish they had not released for PS3 and just waited until the PS4 to do a console version. They would have had more memory to work with. We'd have more variation in armor. We'd have our belts back. Models wouldn't have been reduced in size. The world scale itself has suffered. The worst part is, the PS3 is going to hold back the PS4 version in an equal way. It's going to be the anchor that holds the system back for the life of the game. They will never, ever be able to make content the PS3 can't handle. I'd really like people to think about how unfair that is going into a new console generation, and releasing an MMO in 2013, anchored by a seven year old console.

People need to realise that FFXIV was always - ALWAYS - going to be released for PS3 and PC, right back to 1.0. If there were design choices that had to be scrapped because of the PS3's limitations, they happened a loooong time ago.

Plus, if SE plans to implement features that could annihilate the PS3, don't you think people with mid-range PCs might be affected too? ARR was designed to run on less expensive PCs than 1.0 ever was. The whole thing was dragged down to accommodate everybody, regardless of their system; they're not gonna turn around and say 'sorry guys, we're only catering for the PC Master Race now.'

The PS3, PC, and PS4 are likely three different engines. If you change the colour of the PC interface, the PS3 version isn't going to explode. IMHO, they'll reduce the graphics on the PS3 version to ensure that the other systems work correctly - not the other way around.
