In FFXI they've deleted A lot of game terms, names, and certain items because there's no longer room on the PS2. That means my PC FFXI version can't use them as well.


In Prae I can instantly tell who's using a PS3 as it takes them 10-15 secs longer to get out of CS, and PS3 players in my FC wipe on titan over and over because they say it can't load fast enough. At least in FFXI I couldn't tell who plays on PS2, where I can tell very easily who can on this game.


PS3 is effecting all players on this game no matter what.

They do not allow better hardware to provide better functionality. Everyone is allowed only that which the worst spec can handle.

This is exactly my point. I really dont understand why people get upset or angry because we think this game is being hurt by the ps3

I'm on a PS3 and I guarantee that you would never ever ever be able to tell that I play on one. And the difference is literally nothing more than using a SSD instead.

My FC runs Titan HM all the time, and if it is one of our usual carry setups, at least half of us (the tank, me, and two other DPS), sometimes more, are all on the PS3 with no problems. It's more likely that the players are having a dodging/rotation problem. While I know legitimate lagging issues exist, the thing with Titan is that you have to anticipate and start moving in advance. Reacting, especially if you aren't very familiar with the fight, will probably result in getting smooshed.

Except the dev team on ffxi explicitly wanted to keep both versions the same, whereas the dev team for 14 have stated several times in the past they don't care about adding things to the pc version that the ps3 version won't have.


people need to stop comparing the two as the team's goals for the two are completely different.

I guess when my x4 25 Bags become one 100 bag that can auto-sort, I'll believe this.

Most recent update is that the Add-ons are now pushed back 6 months instead of the PS4 release, so we can look forward to it in about a years time..

This makes no sense. ffxi had this so it's not like they changed it to save space.

Prove that they specifically said multiple bags were required for the ps3 limited memory, otherwise you are just making stuff up.

Actually it was to save space, it was because of the PS3's limited resolution that we are limited to a 4x25 bag system to fit within a certain maximum window size. Icons over text was simply to save memory since the PS3 is memory starved.

Because clearly no PC could ever suffer these kinds of limitations, amirite?

Realistically? Outside of a bad memory leak... no.

The poster I quoted was talking about 1 bag vs multiple, you can still do this with scrolling the way ffxi did. That proves nothing.
